  2. Very cool! ive been thinkin about building this one for along time, but never got around to it......i would also like to do the ice cream truck from "nice dreams" keep it goin, im lookin forward to more of this. if i can help with any questions about the weathering let me know.... not that im an expert or anything, but its pretty much the way i build everything...... cheers bryan
  3. Thanks David! cheers bryan
  4. Hey Bruce! how ya been? cheers bryan
  5. thanks corey. yea a little work does go a long way... i have used that same technique on quite a few grilles as well, and they look so much better sanded out! cheers bryan
  6. thanks Rob! i think the problem on the second one was that i had the dremel turned up too high, and heated the plastic too much while sanding......ill try it again on a shallow one and see what happens.... cheers bryan
  7. thanks Rich! my throat n nose are still on fire from that!! these wheels sets have 2 deep, and 2 shallow wheels, unfortunately the shallow ones are way too delicate to do this too......i knocked about 5 of the spokes off of one of them, but thats ok, ill just use 4 deep ones! cheers bryan
  8. thanks guys! i have no idea what kit they came from, but i have 2 sets of them here. theyre not so delicate that they will break under the weight of a car, they should hold up really well. im workin on the other 3 now, so after its all said and done, ill have about 2 hours in all 4 of them.....thats worth it i guess. cheers bryan
  9. thanks Eric, it took me about 30 minutes with a dremel, sanding sticks, and files.......it wasnt too bad. cheers bryan
  10. Here they are tucked under a 59 impala, i am really liking them now. what a big difference a little work can make! time to do the other 3! thanks for lookin bryan
  11. oh man! that looks so cool! very nice work on the engine bay, im diggin it. cheers bryan
  12. thanks Bob. heres a couple more shots.......they still need cleaned a bit more, but it will be well worth the effort. i shot this first one against a light so you could really see that the plastic is gone.. here it is mounted in a nice whitewall tire..... cheers bryan
  13. yea my buddy had one of these cars, and the trunk was tiny! barely room for a spare..... keep er goin corey bryan
  14. ok guys, i was diggin through my wheel stash, and i came across these wheels......as is, i really didnt like them, they arent very nice at all..... i trimmed up the outer edges, and i thought, "i could make these look better"......ive been wanting some decent wire wheels for a future project, so i grabbed my grinder, and some files and here is what i ended up with. so much better without all that nasty plastic filling in those spokes!! it took me about 30 minutes to do this one wheel, they end up being pretty delicate....i still have to clean them up a little more, but im really liking them now..... thanks for lookin! cheers bryan
  15. Bill, what Brand machines are you using to do this? i would like to gather some more info before i go off half cocked and buy the wrong machines when i get my cash in a couple months..... thanks! bryan
