  1. In the year 2525... Cool build ! Tim
  2. I was trying to find my post about the K123 kit and it appears I never made one! Back last summer I built a test shot of the K123 for AMT for their trade show display. The kit is a great kit - a couple of fit issues - the undercab exhaust piping needs careful attention to get it to mate to the turbo and the bottom of the mufflers and clear the cab. At the time (September) the Interstate Motor Freight System decals were not yet a sure thing. My KW was built with no chrome plating - I used Duplicolor Bumper Chrome and Bare Metal Foil. This kit has dozens of possibilities when you kitbash parts or swap in resin. Build away ! Tim
  3. Air cleaner, exhaust, round fuel tank option, high-back seats, CB radio, DragFoiler air dam, side steps, battery box option (goes with chrome exhaust and air cleaner option).. I think that's it ? Tim
  4. The mirrors wouldn't pass DOT at the time. The 5th wheel cover would have been show-only. The wheels and tires were of no design at the time. The front tires extended outside of the cab with no flares.
  5. The Turnpiker would not have been a road-legal truck. AMT was trying to make a race truck out of the 352 kit. Tim
  6. Kurt, Glad to help! Excellent progress on this 379 ! Tim
  7. Leo, Do you remember how wide the trailer was? The dolly looks like it is much narrower. Tim
  8. What are the photos on the back of the NewRay box ? Tim
  9. Answering two here: Kostas, I'm not a big fan of the new box, but hopefully it will grow on me. The Plastruct part number is #91687 Catalog number PS-155. The tread pattern doesn't match Peterbilt's pattern. The PB pattern has more hash marks than the diamond. Charles, Why the dump box? Here's the inspiration Mine will be slightly different and fancier. Tim
  10. Detroitopillar? Nope. PactroitMX.
  11. Here's my first attempt at the 2011 Peterbilt emissions box cover. This is a new design that appears on trucks equipped with the DEF tank (Cummins and P'car MX engines for 2011). The box is made from Evergreen sheet plastic, hexagon rod and Plastruct HO scale diamond tread. Here's the real box on a '11 389. Here is what my box will go on Update 2/1/11 I painted the box with Duplicolor Bumper Chrome Thanks for looking! Attached are several pics I used for inspiration courtesy of Wes Bergman. Additional pics are on this page. Tim
  12. Calling Ben Wicker or Gary Wallace ! They could take those side panels and make a 1/24th or 1/25th version out of that pattern. Tim
  13. Eric, This is great news! The Revell of Germany kit is the perfect platform. Here's one I built in several years ago on stretched RoG frame. Tim
  14. I must have missed this post when originally posted. Nice 4300 ! Tim
  15. The bunk looks good. Don't forget the "character line" that was molded in. Tim
  16. Looking good! Things just look tougher in primer. Tim
  17. I've seen a darn-close real version of the tanker - but the van and flat beds I think are truly artistic renditions. Here's my version of the van trailer before I added lights and weathering. Tim
