  1. UPDATE! pics at end It is almost done, needing mirror braces, a CB antenna and Cal-Trans number on the door. I wanted to take advantage of the sunshine for the photos. I'd like to find my photos of this in the "before" stage, but can't seem to locate one. Thanks for all the comments! Tim
  2. Scott I had thought about brown. Single headlights would have been perfect, but I didn't have any to use. Tim
  3. Scroll down and I've added finished photos. Tim
  4. Looks good! Perfect for an oversized load. Tim
  5. Jerry The spokes look perfect ! Tim
  6. Yeah, spokes on the rears and disc wheels on the front. That would look very "east coast." Tim
  7. That looks really nice. Good job on converting the bunk to a 48". Tim
  8. Well what the heck ! I have no idea why it is doing that. I will fix ! Tim
  9. Do you have any spoke rear wheels? Those would be perfect for the walking beam suspension! Tim
  10. Hmmmm, could be a bad link on one of my pages or ?
  11. That is strange.. your cache must have saved some old version of the site. Try www.truckmodeler.com again. It works fine here. Tim
  12. Ray The visor is just a piece of flat plastic covered with Bare Metal foil. The next time I make one, I will make the sides and "bowtie" shape. Tim
  13. Boy, you sure hit the nail on the head! Tim
  14. I will only say this one time. Personal arguments, petty infighting, innuendos or negative comments towards members of the forum will not be tolerated. There will be no further discussion on this ! Do not reply to this posting. Tim
  15. Chuck! THAT is the truck I based my model on! A photo from Hank's that I couldn't locate again. Thanks !! I was planning on a medium blue stripe but didn't have the vinyl on hand so I substituted black. Tim
  16. Rob The Ford service truck looks great ! Tim
  17. To add to what Dan said.. Once a truck leaves the factory, lord knows what happens to it. Maybe the truck was a glider kit and the owner added a suspension from a Peterbilt to a Freightliner or rebuilt an old Brockway using a Pete air suspension. Anything goes! The suspension that Italeri has in most of the north American kits isn't a Freightliner suspension. The suspension was originally designed by Western Unit Co., called "Staibilaire" and marketed by Peterbilt exclusively until the early 70's when Freightliner obtained the marketing and rights to the suspension. If you compare the AMT Peterbilt 352 and the original 359 kit, it has the same suspension, just not as nicely molded and detailed as the Italeri version (1/25 vs 1/24 too) Tim
  18. Chris What a mess you probably had. Glad it turned out well for you. Tim
  19. Anthony Speaking of color.. and the right shade: I lost one of the sleeper extender brackets. I don't know what I did, but it is gone. So I found one in the parts box. "Easy fix" I thought, just paint it and be all set. WRONG! I don't have any more of the blue that matches! I ended up using an old can of Plasikote that is close. Drat. The color just doesn't have the same depth to it that the Duplicolor has. (different shade). Tim
