  1. Yes, that does help, thanks for the heads up! I am going to modify the rear end a bit because I want to make better backing plates for the brake drums. If my history is correct. Chrysler bored the hemi out to 429 ci because Ford was running the 429, by NASCAR rules then, the teams had to have the cubic inch of the engine on the hood.
  2. Sorry, best I could do. It is this style of race car, but I am doing a neon green Daytona driven by Richard Brickhouse.
  3. Small update. Got the lower section replaced to make the window slant for the Daytona. Still have putty and sanding to do for the transition to the trunk area.
  4. I have been reading through all your post. Great job on the scratch building. Hopefully my Daytona will be as nice. Looking forward to seeing the finished build.
  5. That looks like a cool kit. Is that the same tooling that was used for the Petty Charger?
  6. Yes, I am going to use the resin nose, wing and Holman Moody wheels. They are all offered by the same guy. Think it was like $38 shipped for all of it.
  7. This is my first time posting a workbench project. This is the reissued 1/16 Dukes Charger. I am converting it to a NASCAR Daytona. Here is where I am at with the back glass.
  8. Nice build!!!! Those square birds always looked good. Great job.
  9. You can use the 69 GTX or the AMT 68 Roadrunner. Even though this kit is not that great, I am going to build it as the Charger 500 and Daytona. Mine will be NASCAR versions.
  10. The correct color is black. Most of Junior Johnson's car ran black interiors up into the 80's. Hope I helped you out.
  11. Thanks for the comments guys!!!!!
  12. Box stock build, Slixx decals and Testors One Shot Deja Blue. My last 2011 build.
  13. Thanks Guys!!! The kits have room for improvement, I added this missing cage pieces with ".80" plastic rod. I have another one to do soon and with it I am going to improve on the dash to. MarkJ the decals are made by Powerslide available through Mike's Deacls.
  14. I revisited this post because I got to see this great build in person at the June KC Missouri show. Len took first with it. Congrats Len.
  15. Here is one I finished last week, so thought I would share it.
  16. Looks really good, that black paint has nice depth to it. Keep up the great work. Mark is my favorite driver.
  17. Nicely Done!!!!! Great job for your first NASCAR build. That paint is spot on. Ken
  18. Looks Great!!! Can't wait to see it finished. That black has a nice mirror finish.
  19. Cool, will definitely follow along. Which car are you building? I am going to do Allison's #27 Goergia Oil. For the tires and wheels, going to use modern AMT tires and Plastic Performance Product wheels. Keep us posted.
  20. I have one of those kits to do some day. As far as detail, I am going to use the chassis and basic engine from an AMT Monte Carlo. Then scratch build the interior. Hope that helps you.
  21. I never got my other CBP done. Put me down for this please. I am going to do a Ford Torino Talledegga NASCAR style.
  22. Thanks, got what I needed.
  23. Thanks guys. I am building the Revell 68 Charger, it is being built basically street stock. It is painted Testors Star Spangled Blue, so I want to go with the white interior and a white R/T stripe.
  24. I want to do a white factory stock interior. What would be white and what would be black? Thanks. Ken
