they should of made a kit that was just the extra parts for half the price. since that's all I will be using out of it. they can keep the body parts.

Will GM's problems ever end?
bad0210 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
that pretty much sums it up. one reason I don't let my wife drive is because she is a very timid driver and wouldn't have the reaction time to figure out what to do. keeps her safe and the others on the road safer. -
another situation is when the people that drive the speed limit are in the right lane but then they need to make that next exit that's in the left lane and they cant get over because of the crazies that are 20 mph over the speed limit in the left lane. lol

Will GM's problems ever end?

dave was wanting cover ups in this century. that's what my answer was for. these things are always going to be a problem with a lot manufacturers. I don't ever see it ending as long as the top brass are making the money. it doesn't stop at just the auto industry either. -

dimaxion. just google fords catching fire in driveways. read all about it. it was a big deal unless you were living under a rock those years. it had something to do with the cruise control. they caught on fire while the engine was off. -

joe brown. what maintenance problems do you have with the modern cars. I work on all of mine and they are pretty easy. only vehicles I have problems with is the compacts because its hard to get big hands in the tight spaces. I hate changing the back spark plugs on the newer hemi's in the rams. -

the big problem with the mega recall is the vehicles that they are recalling are sharing the same defective parts. in the past most vehicles didn't share parts in separate models but G.M. must of been saving money by installing these same parts in multiple models. like Michael said, its because of the lawsuit is why its more scrutinized. no lawsuit, you probably wouldn't even be hearing much about it. look at what Toyota did with the runaway cars. if people didn't die and lawsuits were not happening then it would not of been a big deal. look how long they denied it until fixing the issue. -

I have a 05 Silverado and no recalls. truck is still basically brand new. I think around 52,000 miles but the paint at the top of the doors is chipping off very little but was told that its the primer chevy used that the paint doesnt stick too well. same with my 05 gto, no problems except I had to get the ignition switched out because it had froze up. common problem with the newer goats. luckily it was under warranty. the other problem was the factory 17 inch wheels would rub the front struts on the inside of the tires. let my dealer know and they gave me new tires and replaced the struts. upraded the wheels to 18 inch and no issue since. so I stick with g.m. ive heard good things about Hondas and some other cars but I have no need for any of their models. I like trucks and muscle. -

all automakers have recalls though. lets go back to the fords that caught on fire just sitting in driveways. gm needs to get it straight and im sure they will. I think the problem is none of the automakers test the vehicles enough before pushing out the next new model. -

How often do you visit Hobby Lobby?
bad0210 replied to dantewallace's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would say every 4 to 6 months. if you are lucky. the stores close to me restock the shelves every Wednesday. so I always stop by at the end of the week to see if something new pops up. I usually leave disappointed. -
