  1. yes it is a large model but the principles are the same!You might want to work up to something like this though.

  3. Yes it is a challenge and requires many man hours to complete,but well worth the effort.
  4. Sharper lines means minimal bending of the planks on the Bluenose.
  5. Well I have the 1/35 Leopold but it is so huge I have no place to put it right now!
  6. I soak the ends of the planks in water for a few hours and then bend the planks around a stain can with mini clamps and allow themto dry.Works well even for a bluff bow like this one which is a fairly extreme bend.

  8. Yes I recommend the Artesania Latina Swift kit, plank on bulkhead construction with minimal rigging.Good starter kit to learn the skills required for more complex kits.

  10. Very creative but those loose wires could easily get snagged on something with perhaps tragic results.

My backstory for itis that it fell into German hands where it got its cammo and was later captured by the allies the red stars on top ofthe turrets were to prevent Russian air attack on its way to the ship that sent it to Aberdeen for foreign evaluation tests.Might not be true but it is the story I made up for it to explain its markings. I made it so I am allowed!
