"Little Old Lady From Pasadena" kept running through my head during the build lol... Except for the poorly fitting hood & glass this is a great kit ! Some edge sanding on both would probably fix it...

AMT 1/64 PT Boat
k357 replied to k357's topic in All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Thanks These beasts had Mahogany planks laid up multiple inches thick , here's PT 728 being refurbed... The engine in the background is one of 3 Packard 1500 HP supercharged V-12's for this beast, these things were hotrods! Hotrods armed to the teeth! -
This does NOT build up into an acurate PT 109, due to the lack of firepower( Anti tank gun on bow & depth charges in front of torperdo's however with alot of work this OLD 1958 Lindberg tool can build up into an acceptable 1943 ELCO boat from the same generation as it looks factory fresh, I guess it looks OKit looks OK... I'm just glad I got this on clearence from Hobby Lobby... This NOT worth the full price...

Paint is Duplicolor Jewell Green Met & Rustoleum Mettalic Champagne Bronze with Aleenes clear gloss..

Built from the fantastic Revell kit.. Paint is Duplicolor GM Light Blue Met. with Aleenes gloss clear...

Paint is Duplicolor Jewell Green Met with Aleenes Clear Gloss... It had a bit of orange peel on the roof & deck lid from humidity, which has been fixed... Theres a huge difference between 70% humidity when I initially painted this & 50 % like today when I fixed it.. The final 4 pics are after repair..
