  1. Im thinking a younger builder, so puple pond is out~!! I would put tape on the windows to protect them, then, get like Med sand paper, and put some music on, and start sanding,,just sand it out best you can, and leave the tape on when you spray it again, I would go with dark colors to cover anything up, wait a bit too try" two toning" Paint, good luck
  2. If nothing else, try a small tight bead of a hot glue gun? a really fine line may work ok,,
  3. There you go, I have tried all, and dipping works Best for Me, you will figure it out, after all, its only a model car, and you cant really get hurt using cotton balls, brushes, or dipping, however, I used tne brush a few times and had decals moving on me, even a cpl ended up crooked, cotton ball is fine, if ya don't mind a few fibers here or there,"watch for snagging on corner edges, or chrone bumpers if ya have them on at this times, im making light on this, because it really is what works for you, as you can see, there are many ways too apply, and all work well, there are a bunch of good guys on here to help you, good luck and happy building,
  4. Yes, JUST MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT, NOT HAVE STRIPER IN IT, With said, get a plastic tub just a little bigger then the body, fill with FUture floor wax, and dip body in, "don't let it sit, don't wait, dip an pull it out, I tilt mine from end and end, wait a few seconds, then dip again, I use a metal coat hanger, in the shower, and hang it so it drips back into tub, let it dry, then dip the glass in it, and set aside, while it "body" drips dry, I soak any extra up in a paper towl, in the corners, edges of the bumper etc,, the next morning, I dip it again, then dry, after 24 hrs, I run clean cold water over the body and wipe it off with my fingers,"lightly" this takes any film off, day and finish, should work fine, "now dip and pull it out kinda quick, if it sits like 20 30 sec,, decals will come off, ,thats only thing, so dip, wait about 30 seconds dip again, you will do fine, best way for older decals too,, good luck
  5. Yup,, I would and always use future floor wax on my windows, just dip an let dry, works grezt on decala too, not nearly as hot,,
  6. Well, might not get a shirt, but I sure am sad of your and our hobbies loss, hope the family is doing best can be,, sorry again,

  8. Heard they are recalling the 1966 and 67 Nova's for loose Mirrors that can come down while driving and cause you not too see behind ya,,lol
  9. m.guy, Watch and check the humidity,it will trash it, Wash parts and dry, and when you spray quick light pass's, dry and reapply as needed, should work good, I live in Fl, and the humidity plays hell on painting outside,,good luck and spray lightly
  10. It dont matter too me, if the kit is close, fine, beats taking a full street stock build like a 69 Camaro, and doing the grumpy toy! Full blown scratch bild, cutting fenders up, tubbing, roll cage, , even have made lakewood traction bars, now start on the engine bay! Lol, so I look at the glass as Half full, any pro stock material is just a bonus to me, ill buy 2, 1 too keep and one too sell, toss the red decal, if you need that, then I would go back to snap tite's and build, and untill you fully spray a SnM paint job and get the blue right and the red level, its a job, because doing the little thinn blue lines with the wide stripe is somethig to brag about, lol, now doing the grill in aluimuem and flat black is time its self, but looks super when complete, I would thank Revell for putting the old gal out again if I could, I WISH they would do the Grumpy toy 70 1/2 camaro, cus again, using a full stock kit like the new green one the re-release, is a pain to do as a pro stocker! Thats a good example of what im talking, anyways, thanks for letting vent, have a good week gang

  19. Having Painted my Snake Monza, and applied the decals, let it stand about 36 hrs, then grabbed the Tamyia clear Coat, only too find out the hard way thats its "pearl White" and not clear, yup, had the wrong top on the can, yea I looked, but should have did a test spray! Son of A,, so, wasn't to heavy a coat, just a cpl quick passes but,, bad enough, I used some light thinner and light wipes, and got most off, need to do a little touch up, but looks good, or not as good, but. It is what it is! Good luck, and always do a test spray, lol
