booboo60 replied to booboo60's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Ok! Im doing the Ramcharger challenger! Like the looks, there are a lot to choose from, shame some one like Revell, or the darn Resin bodys are just so much for what ya get! Then its another 20 or $ 30.00 for a donor kit, i just can't afford it, i bought this Ram Rod kit sealed off Fee bay at 4:ooam in the morning for $23.55 plus 6.75 shipping, i have seen it for like 75 too 100.00 bucks! Heck i just love to build them!, i dont collect or save them, lol, ill rip the celafane off in a second..lol, ill post progress pics, have. Great week all -

Watching ESPN Classic game, the i 49'ers vs Cinci Bengles! I remeber them playing but not big plays~ or the final! But. In the 3rd Qtr with less then 2 min till 4th and 1 hour 20 of my time watching! A ticker tape comes up on the screen! You know! Rolling msg!" "You are watching ? 1987 SF 49'ers and Cincinnati Bengles! Where Joe Montana mounts a come back in the 4rh Qtr to set up the winning Fg with just 7 sec on the clock and from the 41 yrd line a 52 yrd feild goal.. 49'ers 27-to Bengles 24, what Are you kidding me! Yup! Its a neat build, only problem i had was the rear botto. Valance fitting up,sanded, filed, even used a little putty, it still wouldent seat, maybe i had the chassis to far back! "Wheels are centered though" or body not aligned even maybe! But its not real bad..thanks guys

Electricial and interior detail in pro stock's
booboo60 replied to LeadFred's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
1st off what years are we talking? 70's! Or 80s! Current! Cus early cars didnt really have much! No computers etc! Msd boxs on fire walls! Another cool thing is too cut trunk open n hinge on early cars an install batterys there, under fuel pumps! Now no pro stock cars can use NOS! This would be like super comp super gas! Pro Mod! Back too pro stock! 90s up has computer and electrical box upfront! This can be wired up! Your elec fuel pumpz! The computer! Msd and ingnition can have wiring too the elec box then too computer! TEC too the elec box! Etc..A pro mod car would have a little of everything! You can find Nos bottles an Msd boxs etc on web sites or "aftermarket resin model car parts" use that in google! Good luck! Others will comment also! A nice place is "scale models by chris" good parts fair price etc! Or even "slixx decals" slix.com"
