  1. Fellas, All the parts are in house, the decals are really great ! I just have to find a bit of time to do some modeling between bailing out the cellar and slot car stuff. Thanks for everyone's help !
  2. Brian, Thanks, I'll go buy some this week.
  3. fellas, Are you shooting the Plasticoat out of a spray can or do you guys use airbrushes ? thanks,
  4. Dan, Now that I see pics of the actual car your model is even more outstanding ! How did you get the steering wheel to look like tape was wrapped around it ? And the front end is dead on.
  5. Fellas, Great cars ! I'm jealous...I'm on the hunt for a Monogram '29 pick up this weekend. I have the yellow issue but I already painted up the axles a different color than what the beetle calls for along with adding some moon discs to the wheels. any, great inspiration, thanks men !
  6. Bob, Nice work ! looks like 1963...Could you give us some info on how you built the "Beetle" ?

really cool build, captured the look of the cars from my yoot !
  10. Super job ! The shot from the back looking at the dashboard looks like the 1:1 car !
  11. Agreed ! The Blue Beetle was molded in the coolest blue I ever saw in a kit ! Along with the scuba gear the truck was really something. I once had a mint example in my collection and was dumb enough to sell it...
  12. Andy, Thank you for yor interest, I'm sure it'll be useful to many modelers on the board. And straightliner for his help as well.
  13. Straightliner, Ok, I think the car is on the cover of the Oct. 1957 issue of HOT ROD Magazine. I figure there's an article in the mag as well on the same car. I've looked through my trash,..I mean STASH of old HOT ROD mags and no luck ! I'll try e-bay next ! Thanks for all the help, By the way, it looks like the car has working steering, correct ? Pete L.
  14. Dave, You're right, I'm looking for the Monogram 1/24 pick. Thanks for the info fellas.
  15. Straightliner Great model ! where can I find the article you speak of and the decals you mentioned ? thanks
  16. fells, Can anyone tell me if Monogram has the 29 Roadster Pickup in their present line up ?
  17. Dave, Great pics ! Super turnout as well, we counted at least 60 people at one point. looking forward to next moth's meeting.
  18. dwc, Great job on the 2D, especially the oil cooler ! I'm trying to build the Monogram Slot Car version with a rebop chassis and the reissued curbside kit. How did you get the decals to settle over the door handles, Solv-a-set, or another product ? thank you, Pete
  19. hey, Gotta' tell you guys that a trip yesterday to a BIG HOBBY SHOP in Pa. turned up a new '32 Ford Coupe kit by Monogram with a $24.00 price tag ????? Are these people high, or am I way outta' step with the times ? NO WONDER Hobby Shops are going belly up !
  20. Eshaver, Thanks for the info...
  21. fellas, I'm sure this has been discussed before but I missed it. Is the latest Revell release of the '56 Chevy Del Ray simply a re-issue of their old 1956 Chevy kit ? thank you
  22. Dave, Great pics, I was there myself. Any word on T/F driver Roger Toth ? Pete L. JSMCC
