  1. The model came with two sets of wheels... i think i'll give this a try. Thanks for the tips. I'm trying to learn what i can, still pretty fresh to building.
  2. Thanks! What exactly do you mean by black wash?
  3. Loving the wheels!
  4. Yes it is a Trumpeter. I forgot to add what kit it was. I got the kit off of the discount shelf at my HobbyTown. 40% off!
  5. I was under the impression that Ralliart was also a parts company. Just as STi is to Subaru. Maybe they put a few Ralliart parts on the Evo x?
  6. Finished this today. Was my first classic car build and had a great time. I hope you enjoy! It was also my first time flocking. Very fun stuff! Also, i know the engine, tranny, and pretty much everything is the wrong color... but i built it my way.
  7. I feel your pain. I'm almost done with my Bonneville, and part of the windshield wiper goes popping out of my tweezers, and somewhere over by the kitchen sink. Literally across the room... i heard it hit the cookie sheet. RIP, tiny little guy...
  8. Love the wheels, love the subaru. Looks good cant wait to see it done. I'm thinking of picking up the Tamiya kit and replicating my 2002 WRX. Know any good sites that sell aftermarket import wheels? Hiroboy.com has a ton, but they're all out of stock.
  9. Check out www.Dirtyimpreza.com Might be able to find some good examples of mud patterns!
  10. Looks great! Got an 02' WRX myself. <3 subaru.
  11. Looks good man. What do you use for your carbon fiber?
  12. Killer Nissan!

    Nissan Silvia

Thanks! Do it, i had a blast building it even though it was kind of a "speed build". If you've seen my other builds, you know i stick to more modern cars, but yesterday i bought a 60 Bonneville 'vert Trumpeter kit. I figured i'd jump into the world of frames and engines. Right now i'm putting the motor together and it's going along well... but i'm straying from the stock colors all around, and going with a color scheme i'd use if i restored one.

Haha i think the only reason it finished so fast is because i get so impatient waiting for paint to dry.

Yeah around 10 or so. Thanks!

This was the D1 Grand Prix kit by Aoshima. I love the Silvia, but wasnt a fan of the HKS drift version but still wanted an agressive street car. I used Volk TE-37 wheels from a Skyline kit, lowered and widened the stance a bit, and shortened the height of the spoiler. The paint is actually a candy orange, but looks red in the photos. I started the build this morning, and enjoyed a nice relaxing day of modeling and watching tv. Hope you like it!
  17. Yeah, that front bumper is very different. But i love the detail on the grille. Looks great!
  18. Ahh. I see a few differences. The vents on the hood are one. Do you have any shots of the front grille?
  19. Great job!
  20. Both look great! Is that an Italeri Lancia? Looks like the one i'm building right now.
  21. Wow! Looks great! This was one of the next bikes I was thinking about doing. Amazing paint! What did you use for the frame, swingarm, and forks?

Looks really good! Diggin the color.
  23. I agree. I plan on gettng another and recreating my 1:1, but 02-03 of course. Only thing is i need to find a set of wheels/tires that look like mine.
  24. She loves the snow. (winter setup)
