The old modelers solution of painting the entire chassis ect. gave it away for me . Is this the original Jo Han Polara body . I am looking to get two converteble and one hardtop of these . Any help ? Thanx..

'60 Chevrolet Corvair More tomorrow Thanx..

For real it's real . I think photoshopping the tires and the wheel wells would show up . The reflection of the Photographer did it for me . Thanx Harry ...don't stop , please ..
-
[Nope . It is a model . Thanx..

It has to be a model . Way too clean for the oxidized tires . The man checking under the hood is photoshopped . My2cents. Thanx ..

I don't agree to eliminate this area to discuss bad resin deals . This is where fellow modelers need to find this information . I certainly don't expect to get notified via US Mail . It sure looks like someone is trying to make it right here . I don't remember the details about AAM . I will stick up for Art . He did have some serious health issues . I had to wait awhile to get what I had sent for . This is why AAM is defunct . Just my 2 cents .

Model for sure . Where is the ballot box ??? Thanx..

This is real . The right front turn/running light is just a tad out of kilter . Easily done by a body man in a hurry , upside down to attach a part like this . Not done so by a nit-picky model builder . Did I just say nit-picky ?? lol ..The tires of the day , the wide ovals had this look when inflated properly . I delt with many of these in the day . I do appreciate these . Please keep them coming . I gety to nit-pick to no end . Did I just say nit-picky ?? ..Tha nx..

Resin Truck Kit Questions
dimaxion replied to 7000in5th's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I use a <rocketfin.com/model_car_links> for searches . When you arrive at the home page , scroll down and click Model Cars . Very useful . Thanx .. -
So much is of this one is photoshopped . I go for real due to the little wear spot on the doghouse where a passenger's foot would rest and bounce during travels . What happened to the Shifter ? It certainly isn't a MoPar Pushbutton Drive ! I so look forward to your weekly mysteries . I thank you .

I don't know what you use to remove cured super glue . I won't rub any more off/out . I have a '74 Vette with duplicolor factory finish . I dropped a goober of SG on the driver's door . Rubbed it down to the substrate , by hand . Substrate is through all layers of paint to the raw material . Currently it is displayed facing where it doesn't show the driver's door . Soon I must "Rotate my stock" . I found a little bottle of Super Glue Remover . It does the trick without finish damage . I like the Firebird . Excellent build . The finished product hides the fact it was fiddiley . The shift pattern was a shock . The interior right on . Keep them coming . Thanx..

Ouch ..good save . I like #2 . green is my favorite color . I am glad you didn't go for a Car Carrier crush victim . That damage sure wouldn't be from the top . I could vision it backing into the #3 position (in the "belly') on a "Little Mac" when the driver forgot to pin the deck . The deck just collaspes to the flat position without the pins in place when weight is applied . Like the unit driving on it . A "Little Mac" is the second generation of the Cottrell Sullivan Carrier Trailers . Thanx ...

I wouldn't ever known about the shortcoming in your build . Nice build . Very complete . One of my friends thinks his NASCAR projects is complete after the decals are dry and he sets the body (only) on 4 empty tires . Your skill shows up in the completed project . I was very hesident to buy this kit . Being a snap kit . I know , the snob in me awoke and said ....no way . Then I held one in my hand . I just have to tell you an anecdote from 1957 in a Plymouth Engine Plant . One of my Jr High teachers was the third shift suoervisor . From the release date in Sept . , the V/8's just weren't hitting their stride . In Dec. Chrysler Engineering determined the V/8 Distributors were made wrong . They had contained the 6 cyl. vacum advance plates . This plate had a set of incorrect vacum advance weights for a V/8 . They looked around and blamed the third shift superviser . Maybe that same guy got a job making the distributor for this kit ? lol Thank you for sharing ....

The newer engines from the '60's had the front mount distributer . The thin walled new design around the mid decade . All the previous had the rear location . This model has an extreme paint job and wow factor . Well done . Keep them coming . Thanx ..

I like this . I still don't remember the 348 & 409 family having Ram Horn Exhaust . The 327 looks great in this red/red rendition . The battery box was attached to the underside of the body or to the trunk floor . The switch hung down at the right rear quarter panel aft the wheel opening . The screw chassis made the (read short lived) batteries easy to change . The wiring to the grain of wheat (read short lived) bulbs was to be hid in the body . This is why I think the box atttached to the body . I did one working that year and tossed them all out . Read short life . I removed this mess from the one . This is a great SS Impala . Thanx..

My first few weren't that good . This is a nice sleeper . Keep them coming . Thanx..

I and a couple of others are looking for one of the original members of YAMA . Nick DeConcillus , where are you ??

Nice model , which one is 1:1 ? Oh , they both are . Are we in Real or model ? Nice job . Art imitating and replicating life . Do you know you should post this in <carsinbarns.com> ? Check it out ..Thanx

Just stepped out of the '70's . Nice Chevy and typical in the day . I do like the bell mouth tailpipes . I had a pair of these under (sometimes in the trunk) my '65 Mustang Ragtop . They stopped exactly 1" past the centerline of the rear axle carrier . Ohio State requirment wwas 1/2" . Unfortunatly this was under the rear axle carrier . They were called dropped pipes for a good reason . BTW , they are hot after falling on the ground . Thanx..

I vote real . This is a 2010 Radar Proof made by Stealth Corp. . Just announced to the public Oct. 21 , 2009 . With all the angled surfaces and microwave absorbing paint it is a winner . It's cost is in line with a scofflaw's collecting High Speed Driving Awards , fines , and Insurance hikes . Made in the U. S. A. . This is all parts , components and assembledge . Yeah , right .. Thank you much for these threads ..

Oh yeah ; this is the one I seek . Now , who offered it in resin ? It was a coupe like this one . It looks close enough to a '49 to convert Randy at Perry's Resin and fudge the grille . Just food for thought . Thanx
