Found a hobby shop,Ed's hobby shop to be exact, while on vacation in Myrtle Beach,S.C. Had a nice plastic section amidst a ton of R/C and whilst checking out noticed some built models for sale. There was also newer Charger and what looked like a ricer from Fast and Furious. It was only 11 bucks,Ed said a regular customer brings them in. Managed to strap this to the roof of my Expedition and drive 600 miles and only lost a outside mirror, although I can't get my builds form the work bench to the shelf without falling apart. Although not a model it's somewhat related, went to Nascar speedpark to ride the go-karts and picked this up. Got home yesterday to some sweet resin from our own Shucky!

Beautiful!!! Nice to see an old Ford,it seems like they get left out when it comes to the old racers. Maybe. It's me cause I can't get enough of them! -
That's still a lowrider, just on steroids. Great Job on this all around. The motor is awesom,Ross Gibson?

change screen name?
Greg Cullinan replied to Greg Cullinan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks. I will contact Gregg. -
When I joined mcm I was new to forum life and thought it was the norm to use a screen name. As I was new to modeling I didn't have many ideas on model or car related names. So since I own a mustang I went with this one. It sounded better then expeditiondude! In the ensuing year I saw most have their real name as there screenname and is rather do that myself. Is there a way to change or do you just create a new account?

E.R. visit due to modeling mishap
Greg Cullinan replied to samm1970's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No hobby injuries but at work I shot a 1 1/4" roofing nail into the side of my lower leg. It was on the roof and I had to climb down the ladder with one leg cause I put pressure on leg with nail in it the pain was excruciating. But it didn't hurt stationary. My coworker pulled it out with needle nose . Was rough coming out due to brass wire nibs that remain on nails from coil. Took a smoke break and went back at it . Although you shouldn't leave trigger pressed ,this gun had a loose safety that just brushed my pants and shot. -
Interest in model items?
Greg Cullinan replied to MoparWoman Jamie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
People advertise stuff they sell all the time in the resin threads, so I believe you are able to advertise your items just not directly sell them on this board. *they do look cool and I am interested* -
I think I saw that in my neighborhood when I was a kid, jacked up with wide tires out back!! COOL!

Dan I'm liking this, looks like a cool build that I would like to try my hand at one day.

Thanks for the link 8 for 20 is a good deal -
I have a Tom-Tom,it's an older model.I've had it for about 4 years and use it 5 days a week, paid about $200. I'm a roofing salesman and I hit about 7-12 stops a day. Even though I know my way around I use my tom-tom religiously , I don't use any traffic or store finders(if I have them) do the smart phone.(which also has google maps) Last August I bought my daughter a Tom-Tom with all the bells and whistles for about $275(she still gets lost ) and at Xmas I bought my dad a similar one to my daughters for $100,also a Tom-Tom. The thing I like is you pick your city and state, which will be the last one you searched which is good for using daily and locally. Then you start typing the street name and it will give you streets that match the letters your typing so at most 3 letters and you have your street. Good luck and let us know what you get

No problem,we only ended up staying one night and theres so much to see we did very little shopping.I googled hobby shop and found a few but was looking for some first hand knowledge before I committed. We take a train up so getting around is expensive. We did go to FAO Schwartz which was an experience, saw a show, dinner, statue of liberty and ground zero. We are looking to go back in October when it's a bit cooler. Its funny how ever since I started building models I try to incorporate model shopping it into my trips, errands, job etc. -
These all came at once, all from a not so happy usps employee and from different folks. The stars were aligned for me The car with the plan box is a AMT 61 Mercury Monterey. Also last week picked up 2 Revell 66 Impalas.

This sure looks like a real car! I'd fall over if I could ever do something like this This is right up there as being the nicest model I've seen.

Very nice build and what a great tribute. Is the engine block gold? Gold represents pediatric cancer. (my wife is a nurse at a children hospital)
