  1. Looks great! I have the JoHan pro street kit (not assembled yet...) with the yellow Rambler pic on the box and I was wondering if this is the kit you used?

    1971 Duster 340

    No, not at all. The problem I had was keeping the side windows in place while trying to join the chassis/interior assembly and the body. I also had some problems with the decals, but I have 3 of these kits so I robbed a decal sheet from another kit to replace the ones I destroyed...

    1971 Duster 340

    I have not seen one in that shade either, but it looks somewhat like amber sherwood met. code F3. I have seen a '73 Duster at a local car show with that color, and F3 was also available in '71. So maybe a 1:1 just like this one exists somewhere...
  4. Here's my version of AMT's '71 Duster 340 kit. Built bone stock. The color is a custom mix I made using automotive basecoat and 2 coats of urethane clear. Everything you see comes from the kit, except the spark plug wires and battery cables. I also used BMF for the trim. I believe it to be one of AMT's best kit. Now here's the pics;
  5. No, I've been running like this with nothing to cool the computer for years with no problems at all...
  6. My first car was a '68 Plymouth Satellite that I bought when I was 15 years old. It had a 273 2bbl with auto transmission. I turned it into a Road Runner clone and replaced the 273 for a 383 4bbl. I also added a '69 six pack hood. I had a lot of fun with this car, those are the only pics I got of this car; I made a model of it too; And here's my current toy, a '88 Dodge Daytona C/S with a 2.2l turbo and 5 speed manual transmission. With the boost set at 20psi, it's as powerful as the Road Runner was, but way cheaper on gas! I have as much fun with this little car that I had with the Road Runner. I also built a model of this one but I don't like it. I bought another AMT kit of the '88 Daytona and will build a better one later. I also have have two Neons, one 2001 for the GF, and one 1997, my winter beater. I'm a Mopar nut.
  7. Again, very nice! I gotta get this kit...

    Very nice!
  9. Lindberg's stock '64 Belvedere is a very nice, well detailed kit. It has 2 engine options, the 426 commando and the slant six. I built one using the roof (I prefer the sedan) and some other parts from the '64 dodge 330 ramchargers kit. Here's a pic of the kit I'm talking about and another pic of what I did with it.
  10. Man, that General Lee is awesome! Nice work!
  11. Read this thread on here yesterday, went to the store this morning and bought a few Sharpie's. I was just working on the Duster and those are great! Thanks for the tip!

    Thanks everyone! I welded the pieces together using a soldering iron. Then glued the rack on the car. Here's a reference pic of a real Challenger/cuda luggage rack and a pic of the one I made;

    Hi everyone! I'm new here, thought I would show you guys some of my builds 1970 Chevelle SS (AMT kit) 1964 Hemi Belvedere, I built this one using 2 Lindberg kits, the '64 Belvedere and the '64 330 Ramchargers kits. I prefer the sedan so I cut the roof off the Belvedere's body and glued the 330 roof on. Also used the Hemi and hood scoop and some other parts from the Ramchargers kit. 1966 Chevelle Wagon (Revell California wheels kit) 1968 Road Runner (AMT kit) I built this one just like the '68 Road Runner I had. 1969 Shelby GT-500 (Revell kit) 1970 Challenger 340 R/T (AMT kit) I built this one just like the Challenger my cousin had. I used paper clips to build the luggage rack. 1978 Li'l Red Express Truck (AMT kit) This kit is not well detailed, I used many parts from the parts box. I also used melamine edging tape to made the wood panels. I'm currently working on a '71 Duster 340, I'll post pics on here once it's finished. But I don't build much during summertime so it will take a while, plus I always have renovations on the house to work on...
  15. Hi, I just discovered this site, looks like a nice place! I saw this thread and thought why not register and show that '70 Chevelle I built last year, or maybe 2 years ago... can't remember... It's the AMT kit.
