Was wondering if anyone is making the decals to do the Bradford's Fiat Fuel Altered?

1965 Plymouth Hits a Tree
Bruno replied to 1930fordpickup's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Looking at the pics, it's not a hemi, looks more like a 426 commando... -
Awesome!

Ah that's very nice Roger! I'm also building the '68 S&M Barracuda right now, my favorite S&M Car

Thanks everyone! No mods needed, that's the stance I ended up with straight from the kit. I don't know exactly how much time it took to build it, a few months maybe...? I always build multiple kits at the same time so it's hard to tell... plus I am a slowwww builder so...

Finished this one recently, it's the Revell kit with Polar Lights rear wheels and slicks, added a few wires and hoses here and there. Paint is automotive waterborne basecoat and 2 part urethane clear.

Looks like a nice kit! I'll have to grab this one. And Slixx will have Don Grotheer's '70 Cuda Pro Stock decals available soon The HemiCuda kit is not perfect, but I still had a good time building mine and it's one of my favorites on my shelves right now http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83777&hl=hemicuda Marcos, here's a pic, one line goes in from the tank, the other one goes out to the carbs

Scale model inaccuracies
Bruno replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am an auto body tech, and when I fix a car, I do my best to do it right, if I notice something is wrong when sanding the final primer, I will take the time and fix it, not just send it to the paint booth as it is thinking "it's good enough"... I take pride in what I do, how the final product looks and the quality of the work I have done. But that's just me... -
That is absolutely perfect! Not only the car, but the pictures too. I'd love to be able to take such nice pictures Awesome

Thanks for looking everyone I like my models to be shiny, that's why it looks too nice About the stance, I only used the drag car rear suspension from the kit. The lettering on the tires are decals. The wheels are from Competition Resins and I also used a pair of M/T hemi valve covers from them, M/T valve covers were very popular at the time...

Just finished this one. The idea was to build a typical Street Machine like I used to see on the streets in the late 70's / early '80s when I was a kid. I chose Revell's '68 Dodge Charger kit, added a hurst shifter, chrome chain steering wheel, ansen 5 slot wheels, traction bars, raised the rear of the car, I used the Hemi engine in the kit because I built that one for a Hemi theme at a local show, changed the street hemi intake for a cross ram, added an accel supercoil, wired and plumbed, paint is automotive waternorne basecoat and urethane clear. I painted the chassis black, as most street machine cars were at that time, rotisserie restaurations were not common back then... I also added a pair of Hush Thrush mufflers to it!

Looks great!

Stock Eliminanor question.
Bruno replied to 440 Magnum's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Interesting indeed! Pictures of Stock Eliminator cars are not easy to find on the internet. I used the NHRA rulebook when I built my '69 Nova. -
There's the rallye hood also, but no flat hood.

Some pics I took indoors today;

Well, at first, I just wanted to reshape the existing wheel opening lip by sanding it, then after sanding for a while, I found out it was just looking worse... So I decided to sand the Wheel opening lips completly flush to the fenders, then glued on a .020" Evergreen rod, then blend the rod using some putty, sand, putty, sand, then primer, sand, primer sand, primer, etc... While at this, I also fixed the crease in the quarter panels, using an eraser as a sanding block.
-
Nothing special Bill, only BMF, I did not do anything else on the upper quarter window trim. Only special work I did on the body is the correction of the Wheel openings and fix the crease on the left side quarter panel.

Here's my take on Revell's new Hemicuda. One of my favorite cars, with my favorite color; red! Red exterior with red interior, red Shaker bubble and red bumpers I corrected the wheel opening lips, added tire decals, seat belts and sprak plug wires. Everything else is from the box. Paint is automotive basecoat / clearcoat.

Even with A/C, nothing goes where that hole is on a stock '70 'Cuda -
1/25 Revell '70 Plymouth HEMI 'Cuda 2'n1
Bruno replied to MachinistMark's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I know nothing goes there on a stock 1:1 'Cuda. Like you said, maybe it's intended as a mounting point for a component on some future version of the kit. It's nothing major here, just to let people know to fill this hole when building a factory stock 'Cuda
