  1. The mock ups are looking good, John! I always like to see how it looks raw, before the paint makes it come to life.
  2. Thanks for all the other nice comments!
  3. Thanks, Pat! The rear tires are actually pad printed. The decal sheet came with lots of alternate markings, but I chose to just stick with what was there.
  4. Very nice work!
  5. If that was wrong, I don't want to be right! But yeah, a quickie I feel it won't be... Nice start, Fred!
  6. Thank you all. Bob, it was included in the kit. It made for a fun display at the show.
  7. Thank you all!
  8. Thanks, John! There were a ton of great models there, including yours. I had fun building it and participating in the show.
  9. Thanks, Dave! It was fun. I mentioned you to Terry. Said you guys grew up on the same street! Really appreciate thet, Bob! Thanks, Bob!!
  10. Thanks, Chris! Appreciate that Dan. It took a couple tries to get there, but I'm happy with it.
  11. Thanks for looking!
  12. Here's an out of the box build of the Lil' Hot Dogger I just finished to participate in the show rod theme at the Spirit of Speed at the NHRA Museum in Pomona, California this past Sunday. I used Alclad silver base for the candy paint, but the red "candy" is Tamiya clear red acrylic and clear urethane on the frame and side boards. All chrome was stripped, except the front wheels, which were given a Tamiya Smoke wash. Flat red Testors enamel on the dog house and craft acrylics for the roof. Hope you enjoy looking at it. It was a blast to build!
  13. And, finally, added the sign boards to the roof. Headlights and awning added too, and it's all done! See the rest Under Glass! Lil Hot Dogger Under Glass
  14. Looks killer, Jim! Reminds me of the Cougar my sister had in just about the same color. Very nice work, as always.
  15. Cool project. Can't wait to see more!
  16. Thanks, Chris!
  17. Thanks, Dave! Yep, there is, so I expect to have it done for that.
  18. Thanks, John. Looking forward to showing it to you.
  19. A couple of winners there! Love the bumpers on the Beach City car! Looking forward to seeing them this weekend.
  20. Thanks, Bob! Made a little more progress, adding the radiator shell, injector tubes, exhaust and fuel tank.
  21. That's quite a while! I'll say Hi to him if I see him.
  22. Progress is progress!
  23. Here's a quick little mock up with the dog house on. Thanks for looking!
  24. Then I got the suspension on and up on wheels.
  25. I got the interior floorboard completed. And the tires all finished up. The front wheels are the only parts where I kept the kit chrome, but I toned it down some with Tamiya smoke wash.
