  1. The So Cal NNL is back! After a year’s absence due to inclement weather and some scheduling difficulties last year, the Second Largest NNL on the West Coast is set to return in 2018. After 12 years building this show into one of the highlights of the Southern California model car scene, Chris and Yolanda Hale have retired from the show, and have asked that Laski Scale Specialties carry it forward for 2018 and beyond. We’re going to do our best to maintain the great legacy of this event, and bring it back even stronger! This is almost an “NNL” style event, in that there will be no competitive judging, but unlike the very traditional NNL, there will be some special awards voted on by people’s choice, and some others chosen by very special guests. This show is held in conjunction with the Classic Chevy’s of Southern California Car show on the grounds of the Rancho San Antonio Boys Home, and will feature a full-size car show with hundreds of classic cars, live music, a great BBQ, and car enthusiast vendors. The So Cal NNL will be in the gymnasium, and will also feature model car vendors, and a great raffle, along with hundreds of the best model builds in the area. All proceeds of the event go to Charity! So come on out and join us on Sunday, May 6th for all the fun. Check this page for updates, or go to laskiscale.com for all the details and contact information. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are still available!

  4. It all looks great, Greg!
  5. Dang, it looks good in paint! Thanks for the plug, Johnny! Glad you got your stuff.
  6. I just got back from the Old Dominion IPMS Show in Richmond. I took pictures of most of the Automotive classes if you guys are interested. This was a great show, being an IPMS show it obviously encompasses many genres of incredible model art, but I only got to take pictures of the cars and a few ships before I had to go back to my vending booth. The event building, at Richmond Raceway, was huge, and they had a lot of vendors. Very impressive show. Old Dominion Open Pictures
  7. Looking good, John! Can't believe... well, yes, by now I can believe how fast you're fabbing this thing up. It's going to be an attention-getter for sure.
  8. Thanks for sharing, Bernard. It was good to see you there again and enjoy some pizza, beer and conversation!
  9. Looks great outside! It could easily be mistaken for a real car in the pictures. Nice job, Johnny!
  10. Neat little racer!
  11. I’ll message you when we get there, Greg.
  12. Look forward to it, John!
  13. Laski Scale Specialties will be attending the NNL West in Santa Clara, California at the Santa Clara Convention Center. 15. I placed an order just after the first of the year and got it within two weeks, which works fine for me, knowing how busy they are. Now I can't wait to try it!
  16. Charlie, it looks fantastic! I can't wait to see the latest pictures. Let me know if you need any help with that.
  17. Johnny, the pictures really belie the size of this model. I know when I see it this weekend, I'm going to be amazed how small it is, yet has all the detail and custom work shown above. Classic job again!
  18. Tim, I follow along with email, but every once in a while I like to drop in to get the full scope of what you’re doing, and I’m never disappointed. Always a treat, and a lesson... Fantastic work, as always!
  19. I really appreciate all the comments, guys! It wasn't as perfect to me as I would have hoped, but I guess I feel that way about every build. But Jim and his wife were ecstatic. His wife called it the best gift ever! I guess that's all that matters. Chris Sobak, I failed to mention it above, which is a shame because your effort of support on this was instrumental, but thanks so much! I hope you get to build your '71 someday.
  20. Thank you! Yes it is. I was surprised to find them. I thought I would be making my own.
  21. Bernard, I really appreciate the forethought put into this build. I look forward to seeing it in Santa Clara. Nice job!
  22. Here's my only show rod, The Little Hot Dogger.
  23. It's looking good, John! All the fabrication you're doing is killer.
