Yeah, Paul, I loved the iPad. It pretty easy to use.

Looks like you're making it work! I could see the wheels in your head turning when you picked up that body. Build is looking great and will be fun to watch! -

John, Man, we've all been there! I felt the same way when I scratched my Willys, but luckily I found a way to dig myself out of it. Sometimes you can, and sometimes you can't. It was really hard for me to come to the decision to go for the fix, too. I didn't know if I should just settle, but I'm glad I didn't. Maybe next time, if you run into some issues, you can hit up the forum for suggestions. I have seen some creative fixes on here. Best of luck on round 2! -Art

Hey Chris, I made the rod ends out of styrene rod and guitar string, then I painted them with Testors Aluminum Plate Metalizer as a base and Alclad Transparent Red over that. I think I posted pics of how I made them earlier in the thread, but it was over a year ago, so I'm not surprised you didn't see it. Thanks for looking, my friend. Art

Folks, I got to see this in person last weekend, and what struck me at first was how small this appeared. Watching this come together online, John's pictures and his incredible detail make it seem much larger than it really is. Fantastic job, my friend, and congratulations on the first place with this at the Grand National Roadster Show. It was well deserved. -Art

Thanks for the comments, my friends. Here's some new Pro Tech goodies I got for this build. It's some nut and bolt heads, wire looms, and an MSD box. I got the rear end in. The whole time I was asking myself WTH I was thinking by replacing the kit suspension. It was quite a pain, but I think in the end it was worth it. I used some of the Pro Tech nuts and bolts on the heim joints, and the suspension does work a little. I think it has about 1/16 of an inch of travel.

Sometimes things just don't go according to plan. When I put the flame mask on, i had inadvertently nicked the paint on the top of the front fender. I didn't even know it happened until later, but the pearl intercoat did nothing to hide it. It was so glaring, I had to do something about it. I decided my best course of action would be to just mask off the front and repaint it. I could get away with it because there were no flames on this area of the car so I can mask it off without leaving behind traces.
