  1. When I drilled out the holes in the dash for the gauges, it became obvious very quickly that there was not enough room to fit all the new bezels in the stock location, so I had to patch it up and relocate them.
  2. I started on body prep this week, including the dash, which will be painted body color as well. Because I dropped the blower in favor of injectors, I had to open up the hole in the hood for the injector stacks. I just used the manifold for reference. For the dash, I started making the gauge bezels.
  3. Those are very cool!
  4. Nice build!
  5. I like it! Very nice work.
  6. I also got the front suspension in. Thanks for looking!
  7. Thanks, Russ! We're getting back on track here. I got the wheels and tires completed. I wanted the wheels to reflect the Dow coating that the new Halibrand wheels would have on them when they roll out of the factory. I used a mixture of Testors Brass and Aluminum Plate Metalizers to get the look I wanted. I also added some wingnuts from a Revell Cobra kit.
  8. Thanks guys, but the model gods are cursing me a bit. I've taken a couple steps back, but I'll have an update soon. I do appreciate your interest, my friends!
  9. Nice job, Harry!
  10. Thanks, Charlie! I'll be using your oil filters, nut and bolt heads, wire looms and braided wire on this build. They're great products! Art
  11. I thought I would share this with those of you following this thread. There's a picture of the real Stephanie Rose in her boyfriend's blog about his upcoming first race. He's new Top Fuel driver Richie Crampton: http://www.nhra.com/blog/richie-crampton/
  12. I'm sure you're right, John. Thanks, Jeff!
  13. Thanks Dennis! We missed seeing you and Rod and the GSL last year. Think you guys will make it in '15?
  14. Anytime, Len. Thanks for watching! Derrick, appreciate that!
  15. Thanks, John. I will consider doing something like that. That's how we all learn! SwankmoteeD, those actually came in the kit, so you can find them in any of the Revell Willys kits. Thanks for the encouragement!
  16. Looking good, Charlie!
  17. Very nice work, Richard!
  18. Thanks for the nice comments! Len, the "brass" injector fittings are just Evergreen Item 131 .030 X .030 square strip painted testors gold. I drilled and pinned in with craft wire and drilled it where the "hose" attaches. -Art
  19. Man, it's looking sooo good, Johnny! It's really coming together nicely. Everything looks great! -Art
  20. Here's a few more with the injectors mocked up.
  21. Thanks for the comments, guys. Dinky, yes the trans is Alclad polished aluminum and the a arms are Alclad chrome. the valve covers are actually Alclad too, transparent red over aluminum plate metalizer. I've been busy painting, but not a lot of sub assemblies have been completed just yet. I spent a lot of time detailing out the injectors made earlier. Here are some shots of the barrel valve and the injectors.
