  1. I really like the styling, Bernard! -Art
  2. Nice, Mark!
  3. Nice job, Dave. Looks like you as good as could be done with that one. It looks pretty terrific to me. -Art
  4. Excellent job on those few simple pieces!
  5. Indeed, Brad! Thanks for looking. Thanks, also, Arno.
  6. I also replaced the front springs. John Teresi did a great job fashioning new shock towers and springs for his Willys, but I wasn’t sure I could do as well, so I decided to carve out the molded spring from the part and replace it. It doesn’t look all that special in the final shot, but when painted and glued down, I think it will work out fine.
  7. A few more small updates. The outer fan belt sandwiches the blower belt and lower pulley. Since I am removing the blower and don’t need the belt, I made a simple spacer. Also, the engine block did not have the oil filter mounting block, so I added a little piece of styrene. Not exactly stunning, but it will be functional to route the lines to and be buried behind the header.
  8. Turned out great!
  9. I'm in Teresi mode ? Thanks for the comments, guys.
  10. Another little detail I did is to remove the console cover. I want to paint this wood grain and figured it would be easier to do if it was a separate piece, so I cut it off and put a piece of styrene on top of the hole and will add the lid back after it is painted. Lastly tonight, I needed to find a way to mount the injector tubes. They are hollow ferrules and don’t have a solid mounting point on the resin injector. I added styrene rod to the inside of the tube, then pinned the tube with smaller styrene rod and drilled the injectors to mount them when it’s all painted up. Thanks for looking!
  11. Thanks, Dinky! I decided I could improve on the oil filter set a little bit. I am going to use some Pro Tech filters since they have a little more realistic shape than the kit ones. They will also be easier to paint as separate pieces. Also, I didnt like the way it mounted to the frame, so I pinned it instead and filled the frame where the tab was.
  12. Chris, my friend, great to see recent progress. It's looking great, as usual!
  13. Since I opened the trunk, I needed to create a fuel tank to sit back there. I created a pattern then cut out some styrene. The final shape ended up a little different than the pattern, but it works.
  14. This is going to be a cool one... -Art
  15. I finished the trunk fab work, so it's just about time to start painting this thing up and getting to building. I saw a reference of a Willy's that had trunk bracing and some upholstery padding in between and I liked the look, so I thought I would try to duplicate it.
  16. Thanks for looking in, Matija! I'm still thinking about how I'm going to paint the body, but I am looking forward to trying the masks. I really appreciate all the great comments, guys. I think you can do it, Chris!
  17. Dig it!! Nice job.
  18. Looks great, Alyn! Somehow I missed the WIP, so I am going to go back and check it out. Fantastic engine!
  19. Oh man, that is the truth. I probably would have been done by now if I had just left it stock, but I think I'll appreciate it in the end. Thanks for looking, Alyn!
  20. Thanks, Brad! I would love to have this out there in April.
  21. Whoa, Chris! I don't know what rock I've been under, but I had no idea you had this going on. Nice work, my friend! -Art
