  7. I got this off of Ebay was half built with white elmers glue I soaked al the built parts in warm water and took it apart cleanedit up and rebuilt it. then painted the frame duplicolor ford black and the cab and hood and rims with Model Master flat dark green then let every thing sit a week to dry then went to work onthe enginge painting it with acylics to make a cast iron color then detailed it .After al the paint was dry I applyed a couple of coats of clear on every thing then put on the wood panels on the cab and bed floor all in al a three week build this is the final result . http://images51.fotki.com/v1546/photos/8/1602058/8338856/071809048-vi.jpg

  9. Thanks for the feed back on this build this is what I did to it I keep forgetting to add this It started out as the Revell Gemany Alaskan Hauler kit , was built mostly all from the kiit I added an extra cross memember in front of the rear axle scratch built load ramps at the rear made brake control valves on the frame and above the rear axles when every thing was dry it was primed with duplicolor flat black primer let sit fir 3 days then painted Duplicolor gloss Black the winch was painted withi Duplicolor dark metalic Gray. the frame cab and sleeper was set aside for a week to dry while I scratch built the winch tower that consists of 60 parts not including the winch . that is a resin kit from MTFA . The front rims came from the Can Do Tow truck and the tyres came from Italeri trailer kit and are the super singles the light bar on top of the sleeper came from the Italeri accesseries kit and the marker light came from the Can Do tow truck as it has are a few left over. the other light came from the parts box ,, the enginge is from the Revell Germany Australian KW and the exhaust is a mix from the Pete and KW. The tool box and hydralic tanks was scratch built from sheet plastic and diamond plate from plastruct. the interieri was painted with acylics from Bager and Valero . all air lines have been added and all fuel lines also . With luck a trailer for this build will be comming with in the next few month if I can gang up 30 inner and outer rims from any Revell trailer kit and the tyres also Ihave other pics while the build was going on

  16. I was doing a model of the Beverlyhillbies truck and weathered it with model rail road chalks when and idea hit what if they could be sealed with artist fixitive so to be safe and not ruins a kit I took a piece of the sprue from the kit painted it with flat black primer let it dry and treated it with some weathering chalks let them sit a bit and then spayed the fixitve on it just a light coat to see what would happen. it worked and the rust stands out a bit more . wil tray it ona piece of painted sprue next to see how paint wil react to the fixitive I know it comes in mat and gloss from Michelles
