    I currently have about 10 '64 chevy impalas built in one form or another(amt/ertl). I either build them or use the parts on other models. I thought I was crazy!! great minds think alike.

    very cool!!! I remember a '53 ford sedan set up like this when i was a kid. I like the 454 transplant too. I also remember a '51 chevy pickup with a 454 that looked like hell all beat up and primer painted. that thing was fast as hell, though. He had a camaro rear end in it too.

    I bought my mat off of ebay, got a good deal but ask them to mail it flat-mine came rolled up and it took forever to flatten out.

    I use pick-up sticks(the toy game)they make good exhaust or roll bars. you have to cut the pointed end off. I have found you can cold bend these and they maintain their shape.
