  1. Now that is way cool! I almost want to start cutting on another custom project... like I need another project.. Tell Ted that he needs to get on this forum!
  2. Andy is right for the most part but if you look back and see prior auctions, his selling prices are climbing... Eventually your skills and knowledge will reduce the time spent making it more cost effective. Plus, he keeps doing it so it must be worth it to him! Bill, take a chance and post one... see what happens!

Hey Carro, nice Hummer. Clean build even if it's not my cup a tea... a beat up clapped out 1990 Taurus with one bad electric window... At any rate, forum rules require you to post your full name so we all know who you are when we meet you at the next show. Please put your name in the Signature Text Box found in your Profile section at the top of this page. Thank you!
  4. Wow, I like it so far!!
  5. Mr Moto, How did you slip through the cracks.... ? Please post your name, first and last in the signature box found in your Profile section. That is one of the few rules of this forum. If you have a problem complying with this please PM me. Thanks!
  6. Very nice Gregg! Can't wait to see it in IRL! Needs a stripe or a graphic or two tone.... I think.
  7. Very cool and clean building style! Thanks for posting.
  8. Colored kit glass can be done with Tamiya's acrylic clears. Steel wool the surface to be sprayed and use an airbrush to lay on several thin layers until a nice tint is achieved.
  9. Hey Steve!! Welcome to MCM forums. Please read the rules posted at the top thread of the forum. Thanks... 8)
  10. Hey Larry!!!! Going to GSL this year?
  11. It can be if you take it in steps and don't try to absorb everything in one sitting. Here are the pictures that I took building a wing for a 1/8th scale Pocher Ferrari F40 a few years ago. The steps are pretty much the same but the wing is slightly smaller than that you would be building for 1/24th scale trucks. Sheet plastic is attached to the ribs and held together while drying. A little block sanding and primer.... Since this wing is a bi-foil a second smaller wing is constructed... That one took a lot more sanding to shape due to it's smaller size but now it is primed and ready. See? It can be done and not too difficult at that... NOW, GET DIRTY! 8)
  12. ~B~, When you register with a "Handle", you need to put your real name at the end of each post so we know who you are. Best way to do this is to post it in the "Signature Text Box" found in your Profile section of this board... up top! As for the wing, MAKE IT YOURSELF! Get yourself some Evergreen sheet plastic at your local Hobby Shop. Cut some 1/16 inch sheet plastic for the ribs and spar (support connecting the two ribs) and .010 for the sheet covering. Use a section of 1/4 to 7/32 tubing for the leading edge. Cut two ribs in a wing shape like this: Then assemble the end ribs, the leading edge and wing spar and glue to the .010 sheet. Bend and wrap the sheet plastic around the ribs gluing as you go. Block sand the ends and the sharp trailing edge and then attach a couple of end "fences" and trim them to shape. Wet sand the whole thing with 1000 grit sandpaper and prime and paint gloss black and then alclad. The bottom structure can be made from Evergreen rod and painted the same way.
