  1. Where is my shades at? I love the detail work you done and put into this build.
  2. That's it for the update, hope to have more in a few days here. Comments are always welcome towards the project.
  3. Okay, I been working at trying to get this firewall done. I'm not sure what options came with the cars back then but I have quite a few ref photos of firewalls that I been using for detail ref. I still have some stuff to shape yet and to work on yet. The front clip off
  4. If you or others have photos of the cars you have or had an would like to share a photo or two in my thread please feel free. I would love to see them as I'm a muscle car person myself an love them. I am putting a lot of work into this project. I think when it's done, it will look great. Matter of fact here is an update of the firewall. I still have work to do on it before it's finish. I'm still in the shape stage. I still have to do the floor pan piece and curve it back under. This side which is the driver side has more bends then what the pass side did.
  5. There is no problem with that. I have around 10 Revell Chargers around the house on shelf's too. They do look great.. I mean the kit is a great kit to assemble a nice looking charger model for on a shelf. But now if a person that knows there 2nd gen chargers looks closer they probably notice a lot of stuff incorrect. LOL
  6. What is wrong with it? The rear frame rails goes straight out in the rear instead up curving back up. The rear leaf shackle mounts doesn't look like the real ones. The bend at the rear axle that goes down under isn't correct. Now moving to the front end, the grill frame top plate has the bolts molded in the wrong spots, they are in fact on the head light door covers area where they should be in fact on the top area above the tip of the grill. On the real chargers of the 2nd gen, the firewall has a few bends in it. The revell one has one bend. The whole wall is straight up and down. On the real ones there is a lot of ribbon and bends. The wheel wells support area for the upper a-arms is straight where as on the real ones they tilt inwards at the rear and outwards at the front. The wheel hubs on the model needs to be moved upwards and shorten as the front wheels sticks to far unlike the rear. The rad support is straight across where as the real ones has a lot of indention's in front on the sides of the radiator. Besides that stuff and the kit having a doubled floor, it's a good kit. Besides, I have always wondered what a model of a charger would look like if a model company would have made a more correct looking one with all the details from a real 2nd gen one put into a scale version one. I have access to a 1/1 '69 Charger and a lot of photos from it as ref as well an measurements to.
  7. The new piece for on the driver side of the firewall.. that will need adjustment Glued into place.. now the fun starts. LOL I hope you enjoyed this update. Comments are welcome towards the project.
  8. Here you can see where I mark/draeed out some stuff, and the area where I will have to remove top part and tilt it inwards at the firewall The driver side, more correction to go Pass side almost done, driver side is untouched yet Here shows one side of the floor pan sanded back to the correct spot The other side which will be the driver side will be more fun as it's not like this side is
  9. Okay, I have a slight update here. Man I thought Revell was very good with detail.. I was wrong. So far I ran into a few flaws. Here you can see where I started to remove plastic to correct things Here the black lines mark how far back I have to sand down to. This side is starting to get there..
  10. You know, you just gave me an idea for a diorama! LOL Plus I'm surprised, you spelled Hazzard County correct. You know how many people spells it incorrect "Hazard". Like Waylon said "They do stuff different here".
  11.   You ask a few good questions. This might be kind of hard even for me to explain LOL The bare Metal Foil is cake pan. I only paid a dollar for it. I wanted to use something that I could shape easy, indent easy and also form a panel on the project so I could later on cut away the plastic panel and install the tin version that I could later on dent and buckle to give the panel the ellostion (SP?) of a jump had been done with that car. The stuff at the time was in earlier build stage an I was testing out different ways with different stuff. The tins was a way to damage the panel in an easier way by making the tins like they would on a real car even repo panels. Then replacing the plastic one with the tin version and then primering & painting the whole model and then damaging it and weathering the whole car. As for the body, it's too smooth. I notice that during the first tin test making. It's missing some of it's body lines to be honest, but not from who ever built it before but rather from the company them self's. I'll add some body lines probably and then remake some new tins for on the project.
  12. Thanks you two. Soon as I make progress on this project I'll post a few more photos.
  13. I got the kit as well, but I really don't want to say this but... those grill inserts are base on a 1970 Charger grill.. not a 1969. Those will be 3 intems I won't be using on my kit when I build it. Them and the rims.. the AMT rims are way better detailed then the ones in this kit.
  14. Man, I love what you did! The lines and all does go together. I was looking at the wheel wells shot, the openings flows very nice on both sides front and back! About the front area behind the bumper in the wheel well area.. I notice there is a slip triangle area of space. If you think about it, maybe add a piece of plastic there and shape it to flow with the wheel opening from fender to bumper area. You like the other member mention would have a "I can't put my finger on it" car. Very very great job so far.
  15. Here shows the front end area Looking at the interior floor pan I hope you all enjoyed these photos. Comments are always welcome towards the project.
  16. Looking into the engine bay
  17. Okay, been tickering with this project last few days.. I removed the kit firewall an glued in place to the chassis the 2nd firewall I been correcting. I need to make a few minor things yet, a few adjustments, and then bend the firewall back under at the bottom where it goes to the chassis at. In the photos, you will see I need to cut out the tranny area yet which will come soon. You will notice I also have removed the lower molded in area where the firewall bottom attaches to. I will make everything almost for the details on the new firewall. This here so how much front frame rail I need to add yet I'm also reworking the trans tunnel area at the firewall.
  18. Hi Dan, Yea I'm still working on the project yet.. summer time got me and also health issues came up as well on me. So well in the summer it gave me time to think the projects out. This project is going to be a very fun one. I'm more mainly correcting the errors and adding detail where there isn't any. I'm kinda jumping back an forth on the project. and Since my son's project is on the bench as well and I need to scratch build a few things that both projects needs.
