Hi Mike.......most of the time I use Alclad paint .....but on this model I used Chrome paint that I bought at Pep Boys.........I can`t remember what brand it was because I have no more.......that is why I use alclad paint now.....the alclad is 100 times better looking........and sometimes I weather it down with "Folk Art" dark gray acrylic paint that I buy at Michaels arts and crafts store.......they cost about 89 cents a bottle.......hope this helped......thank`s

Brett......I see your work bench in the photos and can see your passion for building........you remind me of myself.......I just kept building and building.......and always try to out do my last build......and before you know it........you look at your models and say WOW.........I made made that model.......and you feel proud of yourself......keep on keep-in on Brett.

  6. Hello........this is another older build.......I started with a Competition Resin body.........donar was the Revell "Jungle Jim" kit.......Slixx decals........wired and plumbed........H.O.K. Kandy red over gold base......airbrushed black fogging......thank`s.
  7. Rob.....that`s a nice start.......I know what you mean about the ejector pin marks.........it`s all worth it at the end.

Hello.......the chassis is almost finished.......scratch inside body panels........side scoops alclad with rub on letters and weathered.........heads wired and alcad and weathered ........diamond plate floor and alclad.......wheels alclad and weathered tires..........brake lines attached ........alclad rear and fraont axles........chassis and inside body panels airbrushed with yellow zinch chromate..........if the sun comes out today I can alclad the body,turbo and the rest of the parts.......I should have this done by this weekend......thank`s for looking.

Cato......thank you for the warm comments.........I love your stencil work......I have never tried that?..........I will buy a stencil and try that.......usually I apply a decal and weather over that.........but with this Gene Snow F/C build ...........I just painted over the raised Goodyear letters on the slicks that came with the kit......then I weathered over that.........thank`s

Hello.......this is a replica of Bob Checchinis Honda chopper......I started with a 1/12 scale Revell chopper kit and a Tamiya 1/12 scale Honda CB900 F2........I modified the engine to become a 1970 honda CB 750 with kick start.......scratch built body, seat, springer front end.......and alot of other stuff.......".Pro Tech " detailing wire, rubber fuel line, spark plug wires, braided line for the brake, clutch, and throttle cables......I used rub on letters and the American decal from the Polar Lights Chi-town Hustler kit and hand painted gold over the lettering........all graphics airbrushed........H.O.K. white, tangerine pearl, true blue pearl.........and Dupont Jarrret red.......if you would like to see how I made the build.......please look in the "Work Bench" section 1st or 2nd page under Bob Checchinis Honda chopper........thank`s
