-
you got it. everybody wants to rule the world - tears for fears
-
correct .... and thanks.
-
ok, here's one Love is a burning thing And it makes a fiery ring. Bound by wild desire .... thanks you Snake!! can you hear the sarcasm!! I am now bouncing back and forth between this and "walk the line". in fact, I think it's melting into one song.
-
YEA, that's it!! thanks Bruce, the suffering is over. I would have gotten it, may have taken a few days.....

I don't think I ever finished a build in under 1....2... maybe 4... no, 6 months. I have spent the last week (at least 10 hours) on making a tail pipe for a thunderbolt that I narrowed the rear end on. the right one I made in a half hour, give or take. the left one, I have gone thru 3 evergreen rods and am starting a 4th. it's a direct proportion to good luck vs bad luck; how many parts you drop; search time for parts and the infamous "oh, look at that kit". too hard to put a number on it. -
I feel good today, the mind is working to almost 5% efficiency. I have the artist and the song, just not the title..... darn! ok, it's Alice Cooper but darn if I can think of the song.

I was 6 when try and catch the wind hit the charts (1965) I was listening to Sam the Sham, Temptations, beach boys, junior walker. more upbeat stuff I guess. some artists just should not be covered. too classic, or maybe out of respect. maybe the original artists will not give permission. look how wacky Manzarek went with his music and Jim Morrison.

haha.... I am singing Carrabin queen, will be till someone puts up something else that sticks in my head. I have Cream playing thru my 'puter right now and it's not helping.
-
Donavan was an awesome artist, he was OK, just wasn't into that folk jazz style of music.
-
Caribbean queen - Billy Ocean that middle line is "she said I was the tiger she wanted to tame" if it wasn't for the first line, repeating it in my head a thousand times, I would not have gotten this one.
-
eyes without a face - Billy Idol
-
yea, that's one of those songs that my arm would immediately snap to the radio buttons to change the station. know the song, don't think I have ever heard it all the way thru.
-
haha, forgot about this song. I know EVERY lyric to this song.... still. I am going to get the song and half of the artist, will that count? they're coming to take me away - Napoleon the 12? (I don't know the number, it was in the teens I know that) there was another song that countered this one. it was by Josephine the (?) it was called i'm happy they took you away.

hey guys, I am not trying to get you guys to change what songs you pick, or to go to easier ones. I am more intrigued by the ones I don't know and when one is mentioned that I never heard of, I will look it up. I think we have a good cross section of music (although country seems to be missing, that's ok by me, I know the old stuff more than the new pop stuff. I never listen to rap, I am a so-so fan of punk or pop. I am 70-80 metal, hair band rock and roll, Motown and oldies. pretty much anything past 199o I will have a tough time with. I think we are cruising along just fine. I do think we should come up with some way of keeping a song around till it gets guessed or it up for say a few days. cause to tell the truth, if I really don't know a song after a day or 2, I look the darn thing up, then I can't give the answer. there are a lot of lyrics that have not been guessed. I don't want to change this, I love the variety of lyrics. I will try to give a set of lyrics, if it is not guessed, I will go to another verse, heck, I don't know, it's running fine and all I mentioned can go out the window for all I care. all I want is to come in in the morning, pour me 2 cans of diet coke, and try to guess a few lyrics before starting my day.... ROCK ON!!!!! here is a band that was at the top of the charts in the mid 70'0 and 80's and I have not seen too many of their songs posted. so here is one of my favorites.... Some people say I'm no good laying in my bed all day but when the night times comes I'm ready to rock and roll my troubles away I don't care if the sun don't shine I know I'm gonna see it trough I don't care what nobody says I'm tell you what I'm gonna do

i cant take credit for this but find an old white roll up shade. bolt it somewhere on or by your bench. roll it down and takes your picturs. when done, roll it back up. stays out of the way till you need it.
-
didn't know that. learn something everyday.
-
you are correct, but Frank Sinatra did my way, too funny. told you it was a corny song.
-
I hear you. I do it the same way. I usually some retarded song will come into my head and I have to find it on the net. so to answer my own question, I really don't do that either. I could have worded it a little differently. we have a standing debate here at work on what was the worst song ever recorder, so a lot of abstract songs cross my mind and I have to post them. this is the one that is leading the pack right now.... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _, What a lovely way of saying how much you love me, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _, What a lovely way of saying what you're thinking of me I can see it, your face is glowing, I can see it, in your eyes I'm happy you know it
-
correct. and I agree with you 100%. I was just caught singing it in the kitchen at work. DARN!!
-
ok, just curious, how many go on the net to find some way obscure song that you think nobody will get? I have. not too often, but it amazes me that the few I did do that with, the only one that was not identified was "tiny bubbles" by Don Ho. I thought someone would have gotten that one. and what pisses me off is when you read some lyrics, you can't make hide nor hair of it, and then someone gets it, and you knew it all along.... boy that gets me mad! I feel stupid. ok, enough babble...here is a current song that I will ONLY admit I like on here. it's just so catchy. I was singing it yesterday when my younger son had a few of his friends over, they laughed at me. 'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate

other side - Aerosmith

nice build, love the plain brown wrapper look. delete of all striped and blacked out hood. motor looks really good. where did you get the vented caps? don't tell me you drilled all those little holes. nobody has that much patents. again, nice build. MOPAR TO YA!!

hey thanks Steve, you brought up some good points that i was just not thinking of. looks like i will try to put if on the floor, seems like the best option. and yes, that old printer cabinet works well fot a spray booth.would like to make some modifications to it, but it seems way to many other things get in the way thanks again, Tubbs
