hey Shane, totally missed this one. really great build. sorry i missed this one.
  5. thanks for the replies guys. i think its duplicolor or break out the air brush.
  6. thanks for the advice, no offense to the opposite sex, but I pulled a typical women move and bought it because it was "ON SALE". I figures what the heck. your right Steve, id does seem to come out a lot. no such thing as a thin coat with this. dang, that was $3 I could have used to buy the right primer. well, lesson learned. has anyone had any success with rustolium paints on models? or should I leave it for when the wife wants to change the color of the flower pots on the front porch this spring?
  7. we have an almost 3 dog names Wilson and a cat named Lacey. both rescues. Wilson will be by my side most of the time, he only likes to go into the model room to rip up boxes or pull stuff out of the tras. so neither pet has really nothing to do with my modeling, unless he steals a part off the desk. here you go guys, started this thread a while ago. it gets buried sometimes... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84320&page=8
  8. i have a can of rustolium white sandible primer. i have used it twice and had a problem with it cracking. did i put it on too thick, was it cold? anyone else have this problem?

  10. tainted love - soft cell and a few others
  11. man they were an outstanding band. born on a bayou is the song. was NOT going to post proud mary, that has to be one of the most played songs .. EVER!! next to the "Star Spangled Banner" I would recommend grabbing any CCR you can. all great stuff.
  12. 250 pages and I don't think these guys have been mentioned. these guys don't get the credit they deserve. And I can remember the fourth of July, Runnin' through the backwoods bare. And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin', Chasin' down a hoodoo there, Chasin' down a hoodoo there.
  13. wasn't it a few years ago either Hot Rod or Car Craft ran a 2 or 3 page CARtoon style story every month for a while. don't remember the name or anything, but it was based on old musclecars. there were some new things thrown in, but not much.
  14. ha. I was already to answer, but then I saw you guys had gotten them. all great songs I have forgotten about. and I must have missed something, who is Caption Reverb?
  15. HOT BLOODED - FORIEGNER DANG IT, SORRY. DIDNT GO TO THE LAST POST.
  16. looking good, nice to see people helping out with this pro street build. BTW, you kits and magazines will be in the mail tomorrow.
  17. OK guys, going to plead to your knowledge of Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore. in 1974, Thin Lizzy puts out the Jailbreak album, Gary Moore was not in the group at this time.. Phil Lynott – bass guitar, lead vocals, acoustic guitar Scott Gorham – lead and rhythm guitar Brian Robertson – lead and rhythm guitar Brian Downey – drums, percussion they recorded a song called Emerald. I posted the lyrics to this song long ago. speed forward to 1985, gary Moore now X guitar from Thin Lizzy puts out a single "out in the fields" WITH Phil Lynott, here is a blurb from wiki... "Out in the Fields" is a single by former Thin Lizzy band members Gary Moore and Phil Lynott, released in 1985. The song is about the religious turmoil in their native Ireland. IT'S THE SAME SONG!! there is no mention of Thin Lizzy doing it 10 years earlier under a different title. what gives. cant find anything on this, thought I would come to you guys. sorry for a non lyric post.
  18. dang it, couldn't think of it. I kept on thinking of this one.... Tell your Daddy and your Mama too You got something better to do Stick around the house the rest of your life You're eighteen you can do what you like
  19. not to drudge this any longer, but it's everywhere. I know, here comes the old "back in the day", if you wanted to hear profanity in your records, or hear vulgar talk, or see scantily clad women, you could find it, yes, I like the lady figure, yes I talk inappropriate sometimes, yes I swear. but I do it when and where it seems fit, not at McDonalds or Hobby Lobby. it wasn't sitting on the grocery store shelf, or heard at the local pizza shop. today it's nothing to a lot of people and yea, I am behind the times and will remain there. you know how hard it is to watch a comedy show at 8:00 with your 13 year old? sure, he has heard it before, but not while I am sitting there. sorry that should be the last of that. now, onto more lyrics... I added part of the chorus because it's not a real popular song, but if you are a metalhead, you should get it. She was always something special A diamond shining bright in the rain Everybody dreams of angels No one will ever know how much I loved you so Now it all seems funny Kinda like a dream Things ain't always what they seem
  20. I thought the same when I listened to them years back (I am 55 by the way) but them, along with heart, if you really listen now, all the stuff that goes on in their songs, just amazing....
  21. correct - and correct on the great song, never did figure out why he calls himself a lawnmower. I still think he says something English lobrawer, lowenbrau... ahhh, i'm going to play that album right now.
  22. correct - one of the greatest songs ever written. I have heard both versions, but Charles just has that something in his voice. good job.
  23. the only ones I know of would be the bumpers off the Johan 71 cuda. don't know about the aftermarket.
  24. correct
