Here's a crazy street legal MOPAR.
tubbs replied to Petetrucker07's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
well Jesse, it's all in your idea of "street car". street LEGAL, well maybe not, but i would LOVE to drive that to a local cruize. -
thanks Niko. I am sure however I build it, there will be a class for it somewhere. but I would do much better if I had some guidelines. and it would keep the nit-picking down to a minimum..... I will do some googling tonight, thanks again.

yea, it needs paint!! joking, I don't mind gasser at all. they are pretty cool, but at least throw a paint job on them. just don't understand the "patina" thing, but that is for another thread.

Snake, I think that is the way it will end up going.

first, I want to thank Ron (am73grand) and MitchP for their continuing help with this project (yea, they don't know that yet). I am doing a club build with a 70 cuda kit and want to do a full tube chassis blown motored cuda without going as far as a pro mod. I guess an outlaw pro street car, but I am having troubles coming up with the rules, what and what not to run. want to keep the body looking like a cuda, wing, ground affects front spoilers but no sectioning, shortening or narrowing of the body. is there such a class? when I search Google, I come up with pro mod style cars. I will be using a funny car motor, bigger blower with a modern hat. probably the pro mod chassis modified to suit. would the car run air shifters or hand? will not be running nitrous, will I need a bigger fuel cell than a carbed motor? I know I can build what I want, but I would like to follow some direction. a link to a build like this would be good. I will hit my favorite, Skinny Kid Racing, but if someone can direct me to another, that would be great. thanks in advance, Tubbs

again, havent been here in a while, actually been building and real busy at work. lots of great songs being posted. i am a huge Trower fan. next Hendrix, i think not, but not to many with his style. James Dewer doesn't get the credit he deserves (Trower's lead singer).

I am closing in on the finish line of a build, which doesn't happen too often, and I "misplaced" a slick. not one of the hundreds I have in the parts box, one of 2 aftermarket ones that fit the car perfectly. have no idea where they are from, and they match nothing I have. I KNOW it's around ...... somewhere.

hey Steve, I love that album also. they are a very underrated band as far as I am concerned. here is one of my favs off that album... see if you ca get this one... should be easy. She's got bottles in the kitchen Even got them in my bed Most times I see her now She's three parts out of her head Don't know where I went wrong I sure try to treat her right But it sure upsets me Seein' her juiced up every night.

thanks Andy. hey, I was on Fred and Barney's team. they just didn't get me on camera when they were filming.

thanks Scott. Ray, I know that this is what this thread is for, it just sounds like I am bragging................ AND I CERTAINLY AM!!! Mike, can I say PBA? I hope to say SCHOLARSHIP first. thanks Clayton, I know I wasn't anywhere near 13 when I shot my first 600, but it wasn't long after that that I shot my first 700. I did it 1 day before my 21st birthday.....1980!! we bowled with rocks back then.
-
Trevor, my 13 year old shot his first 600 series in bowling!! 243-197-168. yes, he was really thinking about it that last game. oh yea, he did it last Wednesday when he had to pre-bowl for his league... and Papa wasn't there to see it!! my wife took him. that's OK, he will shoot another one. would have loved to have seen the look on his face. sorry, i know this is waaayyy off topic, but Papa's a proud man!! thanks for reading. wouldn't mind hearing from other proud Pap's out there. doesn't matter what it is, if your son/daughter di something, post it up! i, for one would love to hear it.

How Do You Store Your Tools?...?...?...?
tubbs replied to MAN-CAVE's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
to me, that applies to everything BUT model building. the more clutter there is, the more time i am spending building instead of cleaning up the clutter. but i DO try to put most stuff back at the end of a building session. -
hmmm.. i like your ride height. i may have to rework mine. nice job.
-
looking good James. 1 quickie if i may... i'd try to get the rest of the old frame off. i think it would look cleaner. hope thats OK?
-
hey James, i pulled mine out also. never saw a build by you that you narrowed the rear. looks great so far. i have been tossing 2 extremes back and fourth, a 6 cylinder plain jane, or a full tube chassis outlaw street car. look forward to your build. i am glad the club is doing this build. see you next month. you must be starting with the Sox and Martin car. the 2in1 cuda already had a dropped front spindle piece in it along with some custom pieces.

right back at cha!! I would recommend any dealings with Jeremy. a real stand up, patient guy.

this thing is double quoting again and I cannot figure out why.... good one, "i'm in love with my car" by Queen
-
yea, those were kind of easy, I left the titles in there on purpose. I was going more for the meaning of the songs.
-
correct - very good. I don't know what even made me think of that song. I did not know Timothy was a mule. thanks for the incite. poor mule...
-
James, they do offer a stock 70 kit. last one was a year or so ago. the pro street one is a flat hood with the indent in the inside for cutting the hole in it.
