  1. havent had too much time to work on anything new but i did finish my hand made radiator and was in the process of working on the dashboard but i need some help...... the instrument panel looks like junk to me... any tips on more realistic guages? i was thinking about using actual aluminum tubing but im afraid it might be too thick i'll just have to look...any tips would be greatly appreciated!!
  2. wow that is really cool! i love the detail.... great imagination!

  8. beautiful car!! nice job!
  9. another Dale Earnhardt Jr. build. this one is going to be his raced version richmond win where he blew out the right rear tire during his burnout. right now theres nothing that spectacular to see but it gives me some motivation. there just isnt enough time in the day to work on it and keep the misses happy haha just kidding hunny! i integrated the roll bar into the body from a reference picture scratch built almost everything except side door bars and frame front and rear bumper assembly built from .80 and .60 styrene rod roll cage made from .80 styrene scratch built oil box after getting ideas from davids builds scratch built drivers door "steel plate" used another idea from dave and hollowed out the rear end and added square styrene stock for frame nice test fit the shredded wheel...might not look like much now but give it time! thanks for looking!
  10. Hey friend, im good. hope all is well with you! i hand made the spoiler with thicker sheet styrene and if you're talking about the red decals that usually go on the back window i painted them yellow to match the reference pictures i had plus i've had problems in the past where those decals would peel off so with a steady hand you cant paint them fine. thanks for lookin again!
  11. very good!! keep up the good work! looks better then anything i've built!
  12. very cool build! i love the blue you used it fits the car very nicely!! and i agree with george it did look like ghost flames at first very nice
  13. thanks matt! i got the window net hardware from detail master. they give you a sheet of black masking tape type of material and a template to use to cut the strips for the netting. then add the supplied rod and latch assembly and you're all set
  14. I built this car as a tribute to Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s historic win after his father, Dale Sr. died on the final lap at that same track 5 months earlier. I was going to do the "raced" version but after it was all finished i thought it looked too good to put tire marks and dirt all over it but maybe give it some time and we'll see how i feel. please let me know what you think! thanks -Ray
