  1. Just an update on my long term Egyptian Raider build... Egyptian Raider update
  2. Very good sources to find parts, also that wound copper thingy has a lot of good copper wire on it, just snip one end and spool it out. great detailing for wires and hoses.....
  3. This is not something new, but has a lot of possibilities... New video on my youtube channel. Tape for models
  4. Thank you.
  5. Thank you, been wanting to finish it. They slammed me at work the last few months 7 days a week. That is letting up hope to have some updates soon.
  6. Thank you Mike.
  7. Thank you Carl.
  8. Been super busy lately but was able to get some more color on this thing, two tone, maybe some patterns but not sure yet....
  9. Yes thank you for the info. very very helpful.
  10. ha ha ha I like that!
  11. Are you serious? Not to long ago I chucked one of those ads with the fob. Now I will for ever keep that Larry H. Miller does it all the time...... Thank you for sharing will be looking at the fob possibility next time one comes along.
  12. I would love to see that.
  13. at harbor freight for another 150.00 can get a lathe, now I am not knocking the tool itself, I have seen one on instagram, would love to actually own one. I think in my own opinion of course is I do not see what makes it $400.00. its like a dremel with a blade. Probably will come down by half in the next year and a half.
  14. Both of those builds are killer and love all the work done to them. Awesome.
  15. Just an idea on lighting up models...
  16. Thank you Carl, it is one of many that I need to get a handle on finishing. This one is not that far away.
  17. got it installed. Metal plate helps hide the ugly setup of the wire hinges meeting the hood. I can also make many of them using this as a copy and add murals to them that can be changed out from time to time. the lil round thing is the magnet. I will cover all that up with putty and paint....
  18. the amount of work, detail, and dedication on this build is waayyy over the top. Love it!!!!
  19. Thank you, the picture does not show it very well but there is a quarter inch tube epoxied to the hood and the wire runs thru it. It took me a while and several tries to the the tube just right in order to get the hood back off and back on. Now my issue is getting the 3d foam to fit the hood and hid most of the wire. I also just came up with an idea using thin steel from an altoids can and a magnetic to be able to put a removable mural under the hood on top of the foam to help hide the rest of the wires. pics to come shortly.....
  20. That is what I primarily build. Love lowriders. Just not too sure about this particular build thou.
  21. Thank you very much, yes the button tuft is used for lowriders. I am torn between making this a lowrider, or just a rod.
  22. Thank you for sharing really cool resource.....
  23. Thanks guys, been awhile, just a little update. Finally got the hood hinged, nothing I hate worse then display a model and have to sit the hood beside it. also covering up the hinge locations on the inside of the rear door.
  24. To me I can not see anyone in 2045 restoring a Prius!! Most of the new stuff sucks, but I blame the government getting into the business due to the epa. Needing unrealistic mileage and smog equipment (that really does not help when the real polluters never get their vehicles checked!!! They have to make them out of plastic and foam. It is insane. Just look at the cars after the mid and early 80's that is when the over all looks went really bad......
