  1. Changed up the wheel/tire choice. I love the look of the 520 premium sport way tire on the left. On the right was what I was going with for tire, but will use the setup on the left....
  2. Also getting the hydros built and set up in the truck!!!
  3. going with a sarcophagus for the valve cover and a pyramid for an air cleaner...
  4. Thank you very much, I used the gold glitter paint under the de ja vue blue and I like it a lot better than just metallic gold.... it is one of those effects that look so much richer and better in person than in photos.....
  5. I discovered this color/paint the other day from createFX. It is glitter paint. Thinking of adding it to the build somewhere.
  6. Well I did it again this weekend. I found this little gem at Joann fabrics. Thought I could use it for the ceiling of the cab. I had saved an eye of Horus that will look good hanging down after install...
  7. Thanks Carl. I do have time and a lot of people can build a contest quality model by that time. My time is very limited with home life and working nights. I am gonna just keep chipping away at it, and If I do not add anymore to it should be ready by mid August.
  8. Also grafting on the roll pan, had a lot of touch up to get a smooth body. However at this point should be able to finally get to the color coats at the latest next week. I am shooting to make the fair in September, but putting a date I usually rush to get to the date and then short change it. So if it gets to a point that I am rushing it and will make it other than what I had in mind, I may just forget the fair contest this year and slow up on it. I want it to be the best I can make it.
  9. Carl, most of the body, finding sanding marks everywhere, still sanding and working on getting the engine to fit in the engine bay. It is hitting the exhaust manifold. Not wanting to make it obvious by taking to much away on the drivers side. Kinda shaving some of the exhaust manifold and the wall at the same time. Also the frame had a lot of sanding marks on it as well. Just going over it to make sure it is perfectly smooth. The De Ja Blue by testors one coat laquer is very dark and worried it will show any imperfections in the paint.
  10. parts just sadly sitting now... had more body work than I thought. Have been working on fixing the body work for the past week. More updates soon.....
  11. Slusher, now I am thinking of adding more on the truck...
  12. while cutting out the piece for the firewall, got the idea to add one to interior in the tomb door of the back panel of cab.
  13. to cover up some bad bodywork I can not reach now, sense I glued the firewall and fenders together as one unit, toying with the idea of using a button tufted panel to help hide it.
  14. Slusher, thank you hoping to have more updates soon.
  15. Slusher, for the bed yes. Just have to add the hydro pumps.
  16. installed the last two speakers, just a quick layout, will have to paint the bed before permanently installing all this stuff.
  17. attaching the bottom valance and figuring out if going to use the stock grille or make one like I did for the Aztec Warrior. May set me back time however. But considering it. I will probably play around with a few ideas in the sign foam and see if it will come out ok. If not just the stock grille.......
  18. added some paint to the sub woofers to keep the themed colors going to match the roof.
  19. this is what the roof of the cab will look like..... the roof will be the serape looking colors, then from the body line where the roof meets the body will be the dark blue, with maybe the gold chrome for stripes.......
