  1. Hey Emo, Did you ever see that episode of "Seinfeld' were Kramer starts a smokers lounge in his apartment? after a couple of days his face was ashy gray his teeth are yellow and he is Hideous looking. That is were smoking will take you. Besides, all the HOTTIES like guys that don't smoke, that should be all the motavation you need to never start. I told my Son if I ever catch him smoking I would break his arms. He never has. Don't make me come over there and straighten you out. Please bro. just forget about it. Ron
  2. WELCOME DANTE. Here are a few links to some sites you requested. http://www.missinglinkrc.com/Index.html http://www.modelcargarage.com/ http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/ http://www.modelhaus.com/ Just a few to get you started. You will find others as you go through this site. Good to have you here.
  3. Your account must be paid in full. According to my records you still owe us 350 WIP pics and 190 under glass pics. Our staff will work with you to lower your A.P.R. Your currant rate is 28.995%. Good to know your not leaving here. Cheers & Happy Thanksgiving. Ron
  4. Curtis, Try this site: http://www.theboxartden.com/ You will have to join up to search, but it is a great site. I don't know if what you are looking for is there but it might be a good start. Good luck. Ron
  5. Nice job on the old work horse so far Ed, that 6 banger looks nice sitting in the chassis. Are those the wheels & tires from the kit? The tires look like what I have been looking for to use on mine. Keep up the good work bro. Ron
  6. Fletch, here are the "rules" Its perdy much open to interpretation. If you want to cut the back half of a '58 Chevy Impala off, and add a truck bed to it I think that would be acceptable. Anything that might have been used as a farm truck (an old mule). Sure would like to have you join us Fletch, or anyone else for that matter. I would like to see more modellers join in on this. So c'mon guys, join us and build a Farm truck. Thanks, Ron
  7. Hi all, Looks like some great stuff going on here. So far I'm having some fun with this build, I have cleaned up the mold lines on the cab, filed & sanded out the back side of the grill to open it up, and put on some primer on some parts. here are a few pics I took of my progress. ( not much so far) You can see the grill opened up in the pic. After the pics were taken I scratch built a fuel filler neck and installed it on the truck cab, and started work on the chassis and front suspension. For the last few days I have been fighting a bug, I think it is the flu. Hoping it is not the swine flu. But it would be appropriate to have the swine flu while doing a Farm truck build. I feel OK its just the constant runny nose that is driving me crazy. Keep up the good work guys, they are all looking great. Ron.
  8. Hey Gregg, How about some pics. I could say I'm on the space shuttle right now, and who's to know. Snap a pic out the window and post it! Lets just see how high you are.
  9. Jake, I would like to join in on the Farm truck build. Here is my entry. Hope its not too late to join in. I see Marshall's is almost finished, and looking great. I hope to try some new techniques on mine, I never tried the weathering thing but always wanted to give it a shot. I will get started on it later tonight, still trying to round-up a few more goodies. Thank you, Ron
  10. <_ Yea Mark your right, I messed that up. And I call myself a Baseball fan? But in my defence, It was late, I was tired, and the Girls gone wild Infomercial was on T.V. The word CENSORED bouncing around the screen has a hypnotic effect on a person.
  11. Busier than a chained goat in a burning field, That is a classic, I gotta remember that one to tell the old lady. My eyes are burning also, but I think its because I am sleepy, eather that or maybe I'm just tearing up from all the love going on. Nah, I think I'm just sleepy. LOL. Bob, I'll pin that star on ya personally but it will have to wait untill morning. Don't wanna draw blood ya know. BTW, Gregg Who's on first and I dont know is on second.
  12. I see, and I hope you see how easy things can become mixed up in translation on message boards. I have always thought highly of you for your contributions to this hobby and will continue to do so. Heck, I wanted to join your forum so I can contribute to your instructions board, I have an old Aurora kit circa. 1963 I wanted to add to your instructions board. Just get kinda lazy with all life has thrown my way in the last year or so. So no hard feelings, and I put my virtual hand out to shake with you. Your a great guy and I refuse to see you in any other light. Ron.
  13. No need to get nasty & vulgar about it Bob, I'm just trying to find that line between what is considered O/T and what is not. Personally, I have never posted anything that could be constrewed as off topic. But, sence you and I are not the only ones that come on here this needs to be totally cleared up so everyone understands what is acceptable. We (you & I) see eye to eye on many of the things you have wrote here, and maybe you missed my responce to George53 about the birthday thing but here it is again. "I just want to be with-in the rules. because like you I truly enjoy this forum...I want to comply to whatever Gregg & Harry feel is appropriate so I can continue to be here as a member." I am now a little clearer on what that is. Things like "jokes" & "2012" and such, as the most recent. So please don't twist my words up. We need to clear the fog from everyones windshield so all will understand what exactly is taking place here. I went back 5 pages in this General section and found these O/T posts that I think might be what you are talking about; 1. The dismantling of america continues... HARRY, this was yours. 2. The rebuilding and re-defining of America... Treehugger dave. 3. Leprechauns...arni 4. Electric box fun little game...JayC 5. Whats everyones profession...stanleymsn 6. Quick ? laid off out of work...modeltrucker along with the two above Jokes & 2012. I think I get what you mean. But please lets keep it civil, flameing people only adds to the confusion and resentment.
  14. So no O/T and no ALL CAPITOL LETTERING. I'm gonna have to hire me a secretary to keep track of all the rules that people want instituted. HUH-BOY
  15. George, I just want to be with-in the rules. Because, like you I truly enjoy this forum by leaps and bounds over any other forum that I have visited or joined. I want to comply to whatever Gregg & Harry feel is appropriate so I can continue to be here as a member. Lets see what the big kahuna has to say.
  16. Chris, do you know how long it took him to build it. It looks like no detail was left out.
  17. No more O/T posts would include "happy birthday to you" to other forum members. because technically this is off topic? I see what you mean Harry, about being between a rock and a hard place.
  18. I saw some early WIP pics of this and now that it is finished I gotta say it is stunning. Great design, beautiful paint, and detailing. No ballpark big enough to hold this one, Its a Grand slam.
  19. Beautiful Rod. Excelent work. Color, detail, and stance are spot on. I would love to see it on the show table, up close.
  20. Nice paint and decal work. This is a great color combo. Brings back memories of watching the races on T.V. I was 14 years old in 72 and never missed watching them. Keep up the great work.
  21. Nice work Nick, It would be cool if you could get David Hasselhof (spelling?) to autograph it. The interior looks great with all the lights and buttons detailed. SWEET.
  22. I have always enjoyed seeing your builds, and can't wait to see how this one comes along. The louvered hood looks awesome.
  23. The flaming studi looks great. Your skill with an airbrush is incredible
  24. Nice looking bird Mitch. A great era in NASCAR racing. I sure miss that Riverside track.
