  1. Harry, I did not intend to disrespect you with my previous response with the vote count post. I merely wanted to state that the vote was not really a majority. with only 60 votes out of over 4,500 members before the decision was made, I felt that it needed more time before the decision was made. I'm sure most members don't have the chance check out the forum on a daily or even a weekly basis, so they might not have even had a chance to vote. Like you I also enjoy a good debate, (my wife and myself have had plenty LOL). But to complain about this post is akin to nit-picking. Religion & politics have probably started every war in the history of the world, so with that said I would agree that these topics should be Taboo here. But this is the GENERAL section and if it werent for the occasional off topic post, I think I would skip this section all together. I mean how many times can you look at a post that asks " how do you get your paint so shiny" Look at the title page, there is a sentence that says: Our online forum is second to none. we have the best people, best topics, and basically no rules. So please, lets not tie up the forum with so many rules. I enjoyed seeing this historic old building and it does lend itself to dio builders very well. So I really don't see all the hub-bub about it. Let the forum be what it is, and let the complainers move on. Respectfully, Ron
  2. I agree, Besides, there is mention of a Marmon automobile
  3. The Vote: Yes 13 No 34 Don't care 13 total votes 60 Did not vote, or did not see the post 4,571 Majority rules Hmmmmmm. I think that's how its done in Venezuela
  4. A Willys with the name "Cherry Bomb" needs flames. Nick, are you planning to paint the flames on or use decals for this? Cant wait to see your finished Willys.
  5. Your very welcome George.
  6. Jody, Try this link, I think I had the wrong spelling on my reply to George. http://www.automodelling.com/ It has 2 L's in the address.
  7. Hi George, I got one of them e-mail notices in my inbox too. its for the forum site automodeling.com Go ahead and open it, its on the up and up, no viruses or scamming involved. its a safe e-mail. James wants people to come on over and post pics and join in on the discussions about our favorite hobby. Ron
  8. Krylon Paint can be found at Wal-mart, K-mart, Lowes, Home depot, True value hardware stores. I was thinking that Future floor polish might be a good choice as well. I'm still not sure how durable these will be, but its something you will have to determine by trying it out yourself, or if someone else can chime in on that. I have heard that ChrometechUSA does great work.
  9. Marc, I use Krylon Crystal Clear acrylic #1301 on chrome plated parts like front grills before I black out the grill with a wash. it helps protect the surrounding areas before I wipe the excess black wash off the high points of the grill. It works great, and has no ill effects on the chrome. I would think the gold plating would be no different. Not sure about the durability of it, but it probably will give it some protection. hope this is some help.
  10. Pre-ordered mine the other day. Cant wait for it to get here.
  11. I have corresponded with Bill a couple of times, and he is a great guy. I'm sure he has done the PM and email thing until his fingers were bloody. So I think he saw this as a last ditch effort to get this problem resolved. But with people empowering Kevin with posts like "Don't worry about it Kevin, just keep posting" is a slam in Bill's face. The kind of character Kevin exihibits is the same as the guy that stole Gregg's airbrush, could they be one in the same? As far as not being able to trade on the forum, If people can get away with this kind of behavior no one is going to want to trade. So it can go both ways. Yes davezinn, we do all know Kevin is not a good trader at this point, so don't do any business with him. But how does that help Bill. I'm a firm believer in peer pressure. Rob, Kevin has no right to be pissed, Bill does. The only thing Kevin should feel is shame. But with posts like "we have heard it all before, post all you want Evil" and "Don't worry about this again, Evilone" is empowering him to feel like he is justified in blowing off Bill. Sorry guys but this just rubs me the wrong way and I felt it necessary to show to Bill that someone has his back regarding this unfortunate circumstance. and yea its just $20.00 or so worth of plastic, but its also about being honest and respectful to all the members of this forum weather you post once a month or five or six times a day.
  12. I understand what your saying Harry & Rob. I just had to press the issue because some of these guys were treating Bill like he was the bad guy and Evilone like a hero back from Iraq/Afghanistan. It was by his own choice that he left, because it was getting to hot with all the bad dealings he done did before. I find it odd that he has not been heard from sence this was posted. Maybe he wanted to test the waters to see if everyone forgot about the trouble he caused. Or just to taunt Bill. One more option is he's trolling for new victims.
  13. PMs dont work if they get ignored. I'm with Bill on this, 5 or 6 months waiting for someone to come through on a deal is just not right. Relese the Hounds
