  1. How did you make the dents? Melting? I've always wanted to try that.
  2. Since that black has that much metalflake in it, you might be able to pull off the black stripe decal on the back..
  3. Chevy chassis, Ford body......needs a DODGE motor!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I love this kit. Not easy, but really fun. Made mine into the van from "Lost". Love your color choice!
  5. Kennywood! I'm from Pittsburgh!
  6. That's freakin sweet!! These are my favorite builds.
  7. Looks great!! I will be doing this same car in the coming months.
  8. That is the weirdest freakin kit, but mine ended up being one of the coolest looking models I've built. However, I painted mine white and at the time did know the importance of primer.. (for those who don't know, it's molded in black)
  9. White with black accents like on that silver one would be rad.
  10. I like that a lot! Old race cars are my favorite builds to see.
  11. This was one of my favorite cars growing up.
  12. Jeff Gordon's my boy!! Great job dude!
  13. Awesome. Love those Aerobacks.
  14. Probably one of my favorite body styles. And you know I like Labonte, Coyote!
  15. So, I ordered a model kit from Mike's decals on April 30th (its now May 17th) and have not recieved it. He gave me a tracking number and it tells me it went from Allentown, PA (where he is) to Jersey City, NJ then all the way to Federal Way, Washington! I am right near Pittsburgh so it should not have gone that far away. I ordered decals from him the next day and they went through Lehigh Valley, PA and got to me in 2-3 days. Normally, I have faith in our postal system and those who I purchase from, but I have emailed Mike twice and have not heard back. It has been nearly 3 weeks and no kit. Anyone have any ideas as to what more I can do?? Thanks for any advice.
  16. Even so, that turned out amazing! I don't see any evidence of foul play.
  17. Thanks Nathan and everyone else for the kind words! Next is Danica Patrick's #7 GoDaddy Nationwide car. Built from an '05 Tony Stewart kit that i got from my LHS for $12! Have the engine complete and some of the chassis done waiting for paint.
  18. I finished this over a week ago, just never got around to posting it. The pictures are horrendous. Sadly, my best camera is my cell phone camera (which is 5 mp). Just keep in mind that that is not pink. It is Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red, which is an awesome color. Yellow is Tamiya TS-something Bright Yellow or Sun Yellow, I can't remember which. Decals are kit, tires have been sanded, box-stock stance (which is perfect i think).
  19. I'm building this very same kit but mine will be Danica Patrick's #7 GoDaddy car. Anxious to see how ours will compare.
  20. Here's a good shot of the Chevy rear. It has the same shape as the body of my "Plymouth" Weasel, great job on yours!
  21. Yes!! Another Jeff Gordon fan!
  22. The model I have (and the one you built), has that super-long decklid. The 1:1 Plymouth's seems to be shorter while the Chevys are longer. The box for the kit says it comes with a Chevy big block but any motor could be put in regardless of whatever body is slapped onto the chassis so I don't think that determines the make of car. It's just odd that AMT markets both the '36 Plymouth and the '37 Chevy but they are identical kits. Edit: here is the Chevy kit...
  23. I recieved the models today! I am about halfway done with the "Plymouth". I use quotes because upon further examination, it is branded wrong! This is a '37 Chevy. AMT even has a '37 Chevy modified kit and it is exactly the same! Oh well, it is still very cool.
  24. That's exactly what I thought of right after I had already assembled the wheels/tires. It's no biggie, not every wheel in NASCAR has a stripe.
  25. Thanks beef! I'll try that next time. What're your wheels going onto?
