John... Thanks Brother. Gotta make you proud. Henry...Thanks Brad... Thank you. Yeah I though it was better out of the aluminum as well. Plus I know on the real car it would of been made from aluminum. Also it seems that the K&S Sheet Aluminum is a little softer than the brass sheets to hand drill. Tim.... Thank you my friend. I am really happy with the way they turned out and calling them done. They will now be waiting for some paint... lol onto the next thing on the list of like 90 items left to do... haha -
I won't say anything... hehe

Ok Fellas.... It's time for a quick update as promised. I finished up the Body Heat Shields for the body. I decided to make them out of Aluminum instead of Brass. and I cut them all out with my Razor saw and drilled the holes with my pin vice. Here are the pics.... Here are all of the parts that was used to make the parts. Used my Templates to transfer drill the holes and then cut the pieces out of the sheet: Here is the Final pieces next to the templates all done: Here is the Heat Shields mocked up on the body, Right side: Now here is the left side: -

Jimmy... you are welcome. I excited to see you build this bad boy. You know I want to proceed with the panel offer, it will put it over the top for sure. Love the sign you shown there...nice work.
-
oops...my bad I didn't pay attention to that....lmao

Jimmy.... It is great to see you getting to the bench and working on something. I will be following this one for sure. I am really digging the progress so far. You know I love me some 1/16th scale builds especially funny cars and it looks great. Revell did a horrible job on the stance of all of the funny cars. The rwar definitely needs to come down. Also I was going to say if you want a better set of injectors you should get ahold of Mark Johnson. He has some really Nice resin engines and parts for the engines. The best resin engines in the business if you ask me. I will be following for sure and looking forward to your updates.

Tim.... This is some freaking incredible work. Holy Smokes do you know how to blow our minds. I wanna know... where can I buy a big penny and Pencil like that... . Your attention to detail is spot on. I have to always tell myself that this build is 1/25th scale and way smaller than my Funny Car... LOL Those Calipers are so impressive. Keep up the Awesomeness!!! Looking forward to your next update and already counting the days.. -

Joe... Thank you very much! The only way I figured I could get the actual size of some parts is to have the parts in hand. Danno... Thank you sir. Brad... Thank you. It feels great to be back at this. I wish I had the money to buy a bunch of other parts like that... lol John... My Brother. Thank you! I can't stop laughing at the Super Minion... I love it... haha!! Mike... Thanks Pops!! I will be waiting for that jacket to get here. Thanks for your advice along the way with these rockers and the stance. Dave... Thanks man. You know how cool that would be to have a old chassis in the Garage. That would be awesome. Guess I better buy some power ball tickets... lol Jim... Thank you very much. I have pushed myself so much farther than I though I would when I first started this build but I have been having fun trying new things and expanding my skills. Bob... Thank you. Clayton... Thank you very much. I am always taking pics when I head out to Firebird here. They are bringing the National Time Trials back here prior to the winter nationals but it's now called Nitro Spring Training. Hans... Thank you. I never though about including the real parts in the display of the car. That could be cool. Brad... you are right that I need to finish the car first before I start thinking about a display for it... lol Scott... Thank you very much. I am super excited about the wall art idea with these pieces. Tim...Thank you very much. I have to say I am 100 Times happier with the stance of this build now and so glad I decided to take the time to rework the rocker panels. Ok Fellas I got some more body work done tonight and also tinkered with the parachute pack. Hopefully I will have something good to show tomorrow (actually later today since it is now Saturday technically...LOL) -
Awesome build you have here
