  1. That is one very cool looking dirt sedan! Very nice clean work.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Great work so far. The driver looks good as well. Like the turbo on the engine.
  3. Welcome to the world of 1/43! Your off to a great start, Art. Very nice clean work on the wheels. The instructions for 1/43 kits have always been very basic. Tameo has the best instructions for their 1/43 kits, they are also alot more involved.
  4. Cool car & very nice work. I like where this is going. Love those BBS wheels.
  5. What a great thread, so much fun to follow. Awesome job as usual, Doc! A lot of very creative & cool ideas. Maybe those pasties should be put on a pair of D cup dagmars!
  6. Nice looking Cuda. Really great work on the interior. Like the idea on the wheels.
  7. Really cool project. Nice restoration work. I like the way this is going. Those wheels/tires sure do say sleeper.
  8. This going to be a really cool build. You're off to a great start. That resin board ccould have the tail repaired a few ways. The old traditional square tail, a dimond tail or "fish" tail.
  9. I originally built this Panel for a client back in 2001. I found what was left of it on EBay this past winter & I won the auction. I could not beleive my luck. After receiving it, I took it appart, stripped the paint & fixed the damage. Both A pillars were gone, a huge chunk was broken from the driver's side rear fender, which was included. There were some other smaller gouges & a few dents. The paint had quite a few cracks in it. The first few pics were taken when I orignally built the panel. They were taken with my old Nikon film camera, the prints were trimmed & put them in a portfolio. I took digital pics of those prints. That is why the picture quality is not that good, sorry about that. The body had the back part of the roof & trunk areas removed & the interior was ground out for an interior. The scratch interior for the panel. The finished panel. After the repairs, I desided to also slightly modify the panel. I opened up the side windows, rescribed new door lines & added the rear spoiler. I changed the wheels that will also get disc brakes from Pegasus. I am still thinking about the color. I am leaning torwards a 50's aqua/sea foam with some added pearl. I am leaving the interior as it was originally built & painted.

  15. These are a couple of 1/43 kits from Provance Moulage. These 2 cars placed first & second in the 1970 24 hours of Daytona. The bodies had some damage on them that needed to be taken care of before the usual build. The loop of bodywork between the front windsheild & "sky light" were broken & missing on both & the rears spoilers were broken off ass well. The "loop" was repaired with Evergreen strip & fine piano wire & the spoilers were replaced with aluminum flashing. Paint was premixed from Zero Paints & I did thin it a little more for better flow. First time using Zero paint & I like it. Dupont Eurothane was used for the clear coat.

  19. I have always liked the graphics on the Rohr Racing Team's cars & this GT1 is a favorite. I purchased the 1/43 decals about 10 years ago from Grand Prix Models hopping one day to build this car. I have no idea who made the decals, there was no information in the package. I finally found a donor kit on EBay this past winter with no decals. Apon receiving the Provance Moulage kit, I found some other problems as well. Very thankful for that good ol' parts bin coming to the rescue again. I made the front winglets from aluminum flashing & added a set of Etched brakes from Renaissance. The lug nuts were from Scale Hardware withe the centers filled & painted. The paint was mixed from Tamiya acrilics & cleared with Dupont Chroma Clear. Detail paint was done with Vallejo acrylics. I am very happy to finally have this car in my collection & the wait was worth it. I hope you all enjoy this car as well & thank you for looking.
