Ok so here we go, I have the Kodak easy share c183 and thanks to Monoped he got me started in the right direction. So I finally found the flower icon and started snapping away. Ill start with my latest Mercedes Sl63 AMG Jada Mustang "Big Time Muscle" 57 Nomad Subaru 1949 Woody

Had some fitting issues such as the front bumper which I am not used to putting on. The hood was the major pain so for display I just leave it off to the side to show the engine off. I would have clear coated this one but I did not want to keep it on the bench much longer cause I have three more right behind it.

Mississippi Resins- NOW OPEN!!
Kaleb replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Looks good, May I suggest when you take new pictures is to get a blue background? This way the detail comes out clearer in the pictures. I will possibly order in the future, I say possibly because I'm not a big Mopar fan but I will be building some down the road. -
A few that I didn't see was Eibach, and Comp cams, like or not....Street Glow got to let the fart cans in there.

Yes Arkansas is known for its humidity. I usually paint outside and bring it inside to dry for the most part I have no problem with paint. I don't have a dehydrator yet, so would a clear coat work?
-
Ok another one I have googled and did not get an answer I was satisfied with. I have a rattle can dupli-color the paint fogged on the darker color. On the lighter color it fogged but left when I added a new coat of paint. What is the process of elimination? Do I need to clear it? or sand it out? Its not metallic so I would be safe in sanding if need be.

After seeing this. I would love to see one of these in a 1:1 including the engine and interior.

Ill check out those sites, thank you. As far as the app goes it has everything just about, even mixing colors lol its called "imodelkit" While I am just figuring out how scale works, it has helped. Now I just calculate it in my head and sometimes use a calculator. As far as the ruler goes, we use them on jobs to read blueprints(rarely) most of the time its just by tape measure since we don't work commercial. Thanks for all the help so far it will get me started...next step is to find the room for this monster.

Im wanting to build a scale shop of the business I once dreamed of starting. Its going to be a steel beam with metal skin and roof. There will be room and paint booth on the inside. Where can or can I find such material? Second thing is I have been trying to scale the size of shop I wanted to build and the stinking Iphone app is going to drive me crazy. I don't believe I have it right. This is the measurements I would like to have in 1:1 is 55x40, the app gave me 27.5 x 20 inches is this even close? Other than that I want the concrete look for the floor, and material used for the garage doors. Ive been watching some others but not closely Ill be pouring over them again.

My wife loves cars, she helps me every once in awhile and actually has her own going on. The tamiya late model bug. In which Im building a suspension for and she is putting it together with a blown Ford engine lol. And she loves my favorite line..."I've been looking for this one". Her favorite part to build is the engine. I built one that she had actually started when we first started dating. I painted it red and silver to match the colors of the wedding.

Jeff Gordon's 2002 Fireworks Monte Carlo
Kaleb replied to David Thibodeau's topic in WIP: Model Cars
If it sparks a war, I can get the correct information from Jeff Gordan himself. That is a sweet paint/sticker scheme. Did you have the decals made or was that a kit? -
I like seeing the bar raised, I think the next notch is getting these cars to start up. Amazing work.

Ok I've seen tutorials on making them but what I am looking for is what are they made of? Are they all water-slide? or is there something different that I could use? I have two cars I want to work on one being a Nascar-car and the other a big truck(USA-1). Note: The Nascar-car is to have a new theme. Changing the main sponsor, number, and driver The big truck will have the same theme as well and sponsor Also I want to build a diorama and I want something like the stuff you see on speed-shop windows. And I may be looking for someone to print these, since I do not have the stuff to do so.

Question about airbrushes
Kaleb replied to sportandmiah's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ill try that and double check everything thanks...I'm ready to get it going. -
Wow The only problem I have with it is the tires are too small they look like they would be 195/35 in 1:1. I am one for big tires in back and smaller in front like on my 1:1 But other than that Wow. This will be used for Inspiration when I get this kit, Btw what kit did you use?

Question about airbrushes
Kaleb replied to sportandmiah's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ive got one of those air brushes. I cant get mine to work though mine is the single action suction fed. I want gravity fed but Ill have to wait. Anyone with advice on paint not going through? Is the needle to close? -
Sweet action, I think it would help draw more to the site over all...then everyone else will copy and paste and try to be second.
