even if you do not drink coffee you should be able to buy the lids pretty cheap.

O ok, im still new to alot of this stuff, Im thinking of the "factory brakes" that come with the car I dont put them on the wheel.
-
I should be ordering from both of you guys within the next week. depeding on my flow of money and if I really want these hoods from psfhobbies. Are the brembo brakes universal? I need to learn this stuff so I can get my ideas out there.

Revell National contest
Kaleb replied to moparmagiclives's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I bought my car today, 57 nomad. This contest is to get more people interested so they can bring the market back up. Im not entering to win, im entering because it was an excuse to buy another car and for the joy of building. Plus it supports your LHS even if you buy there allready. And I can enter this car into a local show as well as my JWAC build. -
I think i will buy pre-wired distributors from now on. seems that every time i go to wire a car the bit i use is too big or it just doesn't work. Ive been trying to wire a 99 cobra and now my coil packs are almost destroyed. Has anyone wired the newer ford engines? my 1/32 bit broke so i have the next smallest.

Trying to sand down a model significantly
Kaleb replied to Joshuadude's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wouldnt cut channels, personally cause the wire would probably poke through. I would use 28 gauge insulated wire since its a low voltage and doesnt need that much room. The most I would go up to is a 22 gauge. Second I would not forget the resistors you can burn LEDs up. First hand experience. On the gumming the cutter up. It wont but it will melt and ball up on your model(first hand experience) Being that the lights will be on the body itself I would check into gluing the wires to the body. I have used the cement that I glue the cars with no trouble. But could be different reactions depending on the insulation. If you dont want to try that, you could try superglue. -
Will do.

mmm good question. Tamiya Mercedes Tamiya Nissan Skyline Any Mustang kit Ford or Chevy Late model trucks Drag Car kit Street Rods Any Muscle Car Im sure there would be twenty in that list.
-
What is your dream model kit?
Kaleb replied to Jordan White's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Agreed on the Mustang, I wouldnt mind a 1964 1/2 mustang Second a 1966 SWB chevy with a small back window w/ straight six or v8 I know there is a 64 but I dont want to have to make the changes -
Because you can doesn't mean you should

So this is how they get all the pictures of where we live? -

Might I recall, Personally its cheating Personal opinion, when it fully matters ill go to every car show . Even if it is judged on the "car" There needs to be more consideration of those that truely build their own. I understand today's cars are mainly Part's changers and not actually building a car and that you need some "pro" doing some of the stuff.

For starters I searched the forums and could not find anything on airbrush help. So I went to my second source youtube. I found this guy, and if your on the forums...Thank you. This by far has been the best help I have found. You can find it at www.airbrushtricks.com and I didnt see this website anywhere on here.

Maybe they should add a Checkbook award for the most paid for car that was built by someone else. Or better A Custom trophy for the top Custom-Autozone car.(Note: the Custom trophy will look like all the other trophies) Ive been in a few car shows with my own...Mostly under construction(being that I am personally doing it, and out of my own pocketbook) I can only name one show that did not have the same judges and that was in Louisiana. Here in Arkansas the shows were judged by the same company everytime I turned around. This company does alot of actual Custom stuff fabricated with Fiberglass and sheetmetal. Problem is, they have their favorites. But thats beside the point referback to the top of my post to get back on subject.

I agree with the original post, yet there are some other opinions I agree with. First like his boss taking a car he neither built by hand nor by checkbook. It would be like me going and buying Chip Foose's Personal car and entering it and taking the trophies for the win. Personally its cheating. If the person is giving the proper credit is one thing and building by checkbook is another. My Car personally will be partially worked on by me and other things I will pay for. Yet I can not give credit to some of the other guys because in a car show it will not be judged on what they done. Unless I was to take it to a drag race. But how many of the Import guys do the same thing, and even the newer muscle cars that take a factory stock car and enter it????? You also have these guys that may have a nice car but everything is "Custom" on it that they never touched except to take it off the shelf of an auto part store and put it on the car?

The reason it does not have a lot of detail is because some of it I dont like and this would be close to the way I would order one. I didnt realize it was going to be that blurry, Maybe I need to break out the camera I got for christmas. And Three ready to go to paint. Its just too cold. Yes two allready have a coat of paint. Seems the Camaro has some issues as well as the Porsche.

I hate to hear that, what the law enforcement needs to do when they catch a theif is cut a finger off every time they get caught. But if Johnny law is like it is around here good luck getting them off their behind. Enough on that rant, reason is my dad had over $1500 in tools stolen out of his truck and seen the perps drive away and decribed the truck, it took the cops 45 minutes to get there and only thing he done was take the tire tool that they used. Didnt take the guns or ammo just tools. Second one is, someone had their Ipad stolen, but they had paid the fee to track their Ipad beforhand. Once they called the cops they were able to track it to the thiefs apartment and the guy was using it when the they got there. Good thing is even if they turn it off it is still trackable.

I cant seem to get mine to work right, It uses a cup but when I thinned the paint nothing would come through. It clogged the needle. I took it apart, cleaned it and re-assembled it and shot water through it. Can I leave the paint in the bottles?

Nice, I will eventually get into airbrushing(when I learn my gun) I want a gravity fed airbrush. I will eventually get into oils and water-colour. Very little color pencils and oil crayons. Im doing a sketch of a family in our church right now. It will be just black and white.
-
I would have but these are not car art. I do have some of my car sketches though over in car art. Havent tried painting cars im still trying different techniques in shading, lighting and blending.

Just wondering if there were other artist on the board. This is my second hobby and my first painting's in eleven years.
