  1. I've seen snow in April a coupla times, however I'm still thinkin' spring like weather the end of March and into April this year. I am optimistic.
  2. Yes, I can see them being ticketed for improper display as well.
  3. I've been lookin' but I haven't seen them at my local Hobby Lobby. I'll be there today though as I need a can of paint.
  4. The Cedarville show and swap meet is a well attended event as it seems to grow every year. Lots of vendors and great builds on the contest tables. I was there last year and enjoyed it very much. There may have been some hot wheels there, but I don't remember for sure as I don't have any. The show is held at the Jane Addams Community Center in Cedarville, Illinois on Sunday March 9th from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hopefully the weather will be better this year, as it was tough driving last year.
  5. 2 - 5 more inches of snow Harry? After what we've been through, that doesn't even phase me anymore. No sweat. Stop cryin' and start shovelin' and you'll get through this winter yet, I guarantee it.
  6. Me also, and my wife would wonder why I bought five MORE boxes of cookies, since we already bought some from our niece.
  7. I believe that Competition Resin now offers a Ford 9" rear end in their lineup.
  8. JohnU, A few years back I bought a good sized curio cabinet to display my built models. There was plenty of room left over for more cars, so it did inspire me to finish more modeling projects. I may have to add another shelf soon.
  9. An easy way to solve the problem anyone has with Girl Scout Cookies is: don't buy them, and don't eat 'em. Very simple.
  10. No matter what day is picked for the show, there will ALWAYS be someone complainin' about it being the wrong day for them. Trust me.
  11. Hopefully we'll see some relief in about another week around here. And today is yet another day closer to spring.
  12. Wayne, my wife and I were driving in Vegas 10-20 (?)years ago and got caught in a flash flood, and it was quite an experience. There were no cross streets visible, only water. We really like Red Rock Canyon as well. Seen some rattlers there also.
  13. Congrats John, and I hope that it works out for you. Everyone needs a break now and then, maybe this is yours?
  14. The price for drinkin' & drivin' can be mighty HIGH at times.
  15. The GOOD new is, that it's not my vehicle.
  16. I've had a number of cortisone shots in my knees before having them replaced. When the knee pain got progressively worse, the shots became useless and it was time for surgery. I have got an epidural in my spine for back pain, and it does seem to help, along with some stretching exercises. The first one lasted 'bout 13 years. I thank God that my health is not worse.
  17. Carl, now that you mentioned it we did have an elderly lady living next to us in Chicago and I used to keep her walks and stairs clear of snow. Don't remember what I charged or what she paid me though, as that was back in the early-mid-60's. My back was okay then as I was just a young buck, and it was before I got into a few auto accidents. My backs never been the same since.
  18. While I'm optimistic, I can see warmer weather comin' our way in late March and early April. You guys are always drinking out of an half "empty" glass.
  19. My, my, my, how times have changed over the last 50 years. Seems like it wasn't too long ago, but I guess our age crept up on us.
  20. Either or Bob, as I would try to attend the show anyway.
  21. Looks like you've got a few good choices for that Caddy motor, for your build.
  22. Really nice build on that "Vette as I've seen the 1:1 car a few times.
  23. You could too enjoy warm and sunny days Harry, but you'll have to make an address change.
  24. Crank up your thermostat Harry and you'll get your "warm up." LOL!
