  1. To make my wheels, front bumpers, and Moon tanks look like aluminum. I just spray Testors Dull-Cote over the chrome and it works for me.
  2. I believe that you can get the "pitchfork" hood from : www.smblockdodgeresins.webbs.com also.
  3. Nice build on that Ford and I really like your garage also.
  4. I may have an AMT '63 Split Window Coupe kit available. PM me and I'll look.
  5. I use clear coats BEFORE applying my decals as there's no need to protect them from rain, snow, sleet, hail, or ice as I keep my built models in a display case in the house. Modern race cars use wraps, but I build 60's race cars and wraps were not available then.
  6. Nice job on that "bowtie."
  7. That looks sweeeeeet for a Polar Lights Coronet. Makes me want to pull mine out of the stash and build it. Real nice interior also.
  8. Our ex govenors are not in Illinois prisons.
  9. Me too Rob, as the 50's cars are my favorites and I love the fins, the chrome, the two and triple tone paint jobs.
  10. The frame from the Chi-Town Hustler??? The Chi-Town Hustler was the ONLY funny car to have tha offset frame from what I understand.
  11. Nice project as I onced owned a new '65 Corvair w/ the 140 h.p. engine that had four carbs, 4 spd., and a posi rear end. Unsafe at any speed? I was doing 110 m.p.h. on the Indiana Toll Road in the pouring rain without a quiver back in '67.
  12. Thanks for the info as I might be in the market for some off-road tires for a future build.
  13. Work does have a habit of screwing up a persons recreational plans.
  14. Donor kits are up to the individual builder as each builder has their favorite. A couple of mine are the Little Red Wagon kit and the Color Me Gone '64 Dodge Super Stock kit. I used to buy Sox & Martin '71 Cudas way back to use as parts kits as well.
  15. I'll have to check it out even though I'm not fond of Hot Rod Deluxe as it is an overpriced mag with just a lot of old photos pulled from the archives.
  16. I hope not. I just knew that I should've bought more in the past, what was I thinkin'???
  17. Awesome build John and the only complaints should be that we should be as lucky to build even close to your caliber. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Sorry to hear that as I've never been in a Happy Hobby store unless it was in the early 90's when I was into R/C boat racing, but I don't recall. I know that a few of the R/C boaters went to Happy Hobby. The good new is that no one was injured or killed in that fire.
  19. Probably as I had to give up a couple of car shows and cruise nights because of the heat.
  20. Build them and let the hobby shops have the unbuuilt kits on their shelves. I'm hoping to start a 50 year old kit soon and it did cost me a good buck once I found it.
  21. Are you refering to the ones that came in Jo-Hans '64 Dodge Recharged kit? They are for a Wedge engine and not a Hemi and are available from MCW.
  22. Where's the red "Remove" ribbon Charlie?
  23. Here's a couple more pics:
  24. Hers's a '68 Charger that I started in '99 which has been "stalled" a couple of times. The paint is Dupli-Color Med. Charcoal Metallic, and I've added a drain bolt to the oil pan, plug wires, a driveshaft hoop, seat belts, valve stems, hood pins, header flanges, and the wheels and slicks are from my parts box. <a href="http://s818.beta.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSC02742_zpsae95f8bb.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSC02742_zpsae95f8bb.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"/></a>
