  1. Check with Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland as I know they offered some parts for the Hemi engine from the Revel '32 Ford kit.
  2. I've never tried any Whoopie Kat decals and from the testimonials, it looks like I'll have to in the near future.
  3. to ALL veterans who have served the United States and those still serving this great country of ours and to the many men and women who have made the "ultimate sacrifice" and have died for this country.
  4. Only ONE more week 'til the Model Contest at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals Car Show at the Donald E. Stevens Convewntion Center in Rosemont (Chicagoland area), Illinois on Nov. 17th & 18th. The addy is 5555 N. River Rd. and the contest hours are 9 - 5 on Sat. & 9- noon on Sunday with the judging immediately following and the trophy presentation shortly thereafter. I hope to see some of you there.
  5. Is the lettering on the tires "tampo printed?" TIA
  6. I have a couple of Jo-han kits that are like unbuilt promos with no interiors or engines. One is the '56 Plymouth Belvedere and the other is the '59 Dodge which states Promo kit on the box end.
  7. I have the Coronet on order from Modelhaus as I'm not going to wait until Jamaica freezes over for a model company to issue one.
  8. Nice job on the Willys Panel Van David.
  9. Welcome back Brandon and yes ya gotta love dem Mopars. I do, as I was about to throw my Duster at the wall and remembered that I just painted that wall this spring along with the other walls. LOL!
  10. I see the "CHECK ENGINE" light is on. What was your bid on the Charger?
  11. I think that using a truck kit other than a Monster Truck would be easier to work with as a "drag truck."
  12. I've heard from Ed Sexton of Revell that the Rat Roaster is to be released in December. However seeing as I have PLENTY to build, it really doesn't matter to me when it is released.
  13. Great job so far but will the engine be able to suck enough air with the intake basket right behind the drivers seat?
  14. The latest news from Revell on behalf of a flooding of requests by midwestern model builders is that they will be releasing a double kit of Toro's Snow-Thrower in both the single stage and double stage versions. It will be molded in white plastic, so the builder will have to apply their own "Toro red" paint. If sales meet or excedes expectations, maybe a John Deere tractor kit w/ mower deck AND snow blade will follow. Check out your LHS this winter and stock up on these gems.
  15. Sounds "good enough" for me Chuck and even though I've known Arnie for a number of years, I don't think I"ll be buying that second rate kit myself.
  16. I have two curio cabinets with glass shelves and a mirror backing to display my built models and my die-cast collection. They are nice enough to be in the family and living rooms of our house.
  17. Guys that live in the vicinity of Decatur, the above post is an invite for you. Check it out as being a member of a club can be rewarding.
  18. There is only ONE Mr. Norm's and I'll be seeing him this month at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals the weekend before Thanksgiving. Check out the info in: Contest & Shows.
  19. I was at my local Hobby Lobby yesterday and didn't see anything that I don't have already or that I can use, so a 40% coupon does me no good at the moment. I do check there from time to time, but I'm also trying to "thin out the herd" in my collection of unbuilt kits.
  20. Great photos and thanks for sharing.
  21. Thanks for the photos as they always have lots of great builds at that show. I just didn't make it this year or last year either. Always some good stuff on the vendor tables as well.
  22. Your Mopar looks good and if you're happy with it, that's all that counts.
  23. While I have been retired for awhile now, I did fill out an application to be a greeter at Walmart in Honolulu when I was there two years ago. So far no response yet.
  24. I was just looking at some of my unbuilt Jo-Han kits the other day and other than the body, they are rather crude, even for those times.
  25. Nice job on that "longroof" and I need to build one for a tow vehicle.
