Yes I remember J.D. Booth very well from my days in The Old Town Escorts Model Car Club and J.D.'s entries in the model car contests that were held at the Hillside Holiday Inn. He is an excellent builder and I also remember his display cases as well. Where is this hobbyshop located? Thanks.

at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals Car Show at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center at 5555 N. River Rd., Rosemont, (Chicagoland) Illinois from 9-9 on Sat. and 9-5 on Sunday. Contest hours are 9-5 on Sat. and 9-noon on Sunday when the cars will then be judged and trophies awarded. This is a really great car show with entries from over 20 different states and in many cases the "cream of the crop." You'll have an excellent opportunity to photograph these cars and use them for reference on your next build. I hope to see you there.

I believe Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland also have finned Buick brake drums for sale.

Thanks, but that kit is not my "holy grail."

While I've never been on EVIL-bay, a friend of mine saw this for me and I gave in as I used to follow drag boat racing and Unlimited Hydroplane racing back in the 90's and have lots of reference photos to build a drag boat. I've already built this kit in the early 80's and now I'm itchin' to build a liquid quarter miler.

Nice job on that Mopar build and great color choice also.

I just e-mailed him last night and he replied this morning. I also sent him a reply in which he replied and made no indication of closing shop as he told me I can order decals from him on his website.

I would talk to Charlie at Pro Tech and I'm sure that he can help you out. I have used some of his products already and I like them a lot. Yes Charlie is a model car builder also.

I think a Bugatti Veyron would "blow it away!"
