  1. Yes I have stayed away from reliable resins for years because of all the copying of other products he does. I could really go off here and list a bunch he has copied but I'm tired of hearing and reading this. I must say that I am really surprised at Darin!. Also, good stuff is gone and reliable comes at him like he did. No,No, Jarius you need to ban that guy. Keep whacking plastic and I'll just keep doing my own conversions. Thanks guys for letting me know who you really are!
  2. Is that not Art sitting in that roadster in 1950?
  3. Peter, that 300 with that top grafted on, the Bentley grille and the headlights is on of the sharpest 300's I've seen yet. Chrysler should take note. I also like that VW. Great builds and thanks for the tips on the flames.Awsome builds!
  4. Man, I love that Lasalle grill on that 32. Now that is style and that conversion has never entered my mind. Thanks for the idea and I love the car. ratrodder doug
  5. Nice work! This is a very nice kit to build. There are so many ways you can actually build this truck, and I like your style. ........ratrodder doug
  6. Maybe a stupid question. Is that an international engine or what brand?
  7. Is that the wheels from the37 ford panel, widened in the rear or what are they. I like your build. Looking great. What are your finishing plans? ratrodder doug
  8. Looking good. I hope to try weathering one day.
  9. Yeah, I think the hood needs reshaping a little in the front but man, a great start on a hard project. I started a 41 chevy coe about a year ago and I still can't come up with a hood that looks right. Back in the box till I can think of something else to make it out of.
  10. I definitely think te 27 body is right on instead of the bantam body. Your model, just my 2cents. I love that engine. The chassis is fantastic, the brake lines and all. Did you make that header? Great craftsmanship!
  11. Man, I'm coming to Germany! You guys are awsome builders. I love the paint. If I was going to change anything it would be to lower the bed top a little but don't get me wrong, I love that truck and the chop job is just right. Beautiful work.
  12. I like it very much. You guys really know how to build a street rod model. I like that rear-end treatment also, the tail-lights and license plate frenching and all including the widened fenders.
  13. Thanks man but I talked to Dave Bowers yesterday and I'm too late for a table. I kinda thought so but my work won't let me make reservations too far in advance. Thanks, we will try again next time.
  14. Need vendor info for Cookeville tenn. Model Car Show in a couple weeks.E-Mail me : dgharrell1@yahoo.com
  15. Yep, Salisbury was a good kill. Prices, I thought were great and the amount of models was unbelievable. First biggie of the year in the Carolina area. ................
  16. You know? I have all those articles on Mark building the dream truck photocopied if you need a set. Just e-mail me. There are a lot of pages though. Mark never left anything out. Super super build-up of a famous Rod and Custom in our history. While we are on the 50 chevy truck; What year did they not have the peak in the top at the windshield? I hate that look. dgharrell1@yahoo.com ratrodder doug
  17. I'm sorry, I guess I had a senior moment there. I thought they were both the same car so you don't have to answer that question about how they sit on the chassis. I like the 29 sittin the way it is.
  18. Ah, a new painter. As I said on the other board, Sharp looking 29! Are you going to channel it like one pic shows or ride on top of the deuce chassis? Beautiful either way. ratrodder doug
  19. This has to be one of the sharpest 32's I've ever seen built out of that 3-window kit. My hats off to you brother. There's not one part I don't like. Nice job duplicating the one in the pic also. Did you know the guy that built the real one? I know he would be proud. Superb build! ratrodder
  20. Not fair, Can I buy raffle tickets in North Carolina? I hope ya drop it. lol You know I'm just kidding. Would love to be there though. I'll just have to wait for the pictures. ratrodder Don't drop it, then you would blame me for the jinx.
  21. What a bummer! Now start again. ratrodder
  22. To all who have posted, WELL SAID! A true legend in the modeling world. He will be missed greatly ! He has been a friend and modeling buddy to me and all of us in the Carolinas for 20 + years. We will be thinking and praying for Karen and the whole family. God Speed! doug
  23. Yes, regretfully speaking, this is true. Kennys brother, 34, passed away in his sleep leaving a wife and 4 children behind. Also, K-Dog passed the info about Ricky on to me and he is in a very grave condition. Myself and K-dog have been friends and live in same area and have been modeling together for years and years. We have both known Ricky for over 20 years. He is a real modeling friend. We all go to the same model shows in our area. Keep praying for a miracle! ratrodder
  24. Try putting a lip on the edge of the front fender. Also you can lower the suspension a little but the lip around the fender will really change the appearance. ratrodder
