Got to say this about the kit it is not as good as I remember but that was long ago.Did not know much about cars and stuff back then, the auto transmission is a C6 don't look like any C6 I have worked on so doing alot of rework to make it more like a real C6 I starting to think sometimes I'm to fussy but thats me.So anyways correcting the powertrain making coil springs for the frontend then I plan to get into the interior going to make it like the originals The way van goodies did them.pictures will come later

: How To Build Homicide Doors For Your Scale Model
b_lever1 replied to lonewolf01's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
hahahahahaha I suggest he put it here also because I was tring to figure out slideing door for van 70's vanCBP going on now!!! Plus suicide doors where front openning not sliders I like "Homicide door" it may not be the best name but for us guys building these vans it is a tip we needed so it is good just not the name thats my 2cents worth even less in canada lol -
BINGO thats what I'm wanting thanks for the post please repost this on tips and tricks if you can
-
Rear doors opened up and started to figure out sliding door. Not doing much because of flu worst thing in the summer but keeps you inside building thats okay.Still have to work though, tonite going to hinge rear doors and get some primer.
-
This is alot of help the problem is there is not many of these old girls around anymore>Looked at the system on our 05 Caravan slider top and bottom with a popout in the middle if you expand the side pic of the van you see the extended u-bolt that is where I think it will get tricky
-
The year of ford that I'm doing had bottom track and mid door u type of bolt Haveing grew up with these old vans there was door extender (the u bolt ) Trying to figure out how to make it slide in the body it is alot like a mini van like the one in my drive way (duh) going to check it out I'll let you know how it works thanks guys
