I will be doing the chevy truck driven by Jon in the tv show "CHIPS".

now that's a HOT ROD. Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!

This is the one I want to do, It is Jon Bakers truck from "CHIPS".

I like the idea, and the time frame would work well for me.

That is awesome. I have a similar build going that I need to get back too. I have a 55 Chevy pickup cab mounted to a 58 Impala rear with no top and a mid engine.

I have a few update pics. IMG]http://i726.photobucket.com/albums/ww266/brokentail58/edsel023.jpg i didn't like the Mpc Ice Cream Truck injection set up so I built my own. I also decided to open the doors. I have never done that before.

I love the roof decal. I just picked up that kit. It will be my first Tamiya kit as well. I plan on doing a jolly roger flag on top and painting the car black and silver.

I was just at Hobby Lobby yesterday . They split up the models. They put all the military stuff in another isle. It looks like they are getting rid of the train stuff. All they had left was on an end cap.

the shorter trophies in the pic were for the model contest. The purple Merc won the custom class, the front engine dragster with the body won the drag class, the black primer pickup with the skull air cleaner topper won the rat rod class, the blue conv. ford won the junior class, and I can not remember who won the hot rod class.

I love the truck. I work at a suspension shop and have built springs for trucks that looked just like the ones on the rear of your truck. They are not even close to street legal in Michigan. If I lived closer I would grovel at your feet, you are the master.

There will be live bands and a pinup girl contest. They are also going to have pedal car races for the kids and a freestyle bike exhibition along with the car swap meet , model contest and model swap meet.
