I have been working on this one for awhile...it started as an 1/16th scale AMT 34 Ford, Cobra and 57 Chevy. The HEMI is from a vintage Street Charger. The Headers are modified Revell pipes. I should have it done later this week. The interior was sectioned and modified with 58 Chevy Parts. Dashboard is from the 57 Chevy. Seats are from a Countach.

I built the “PANIC” Dragster using the Tom Daniel Trick T/Stinger Dragster kit. I removed the top rails from the rear frame section and refit them in place under the rear frame rails This gave me enough clearance for the lowered Turtle Deck. The engine was lowered about 1/8". The steering rod was moved to center. A fuel tank, fuel pump, oil pump, coolant tank with hoses, electronics, and fire extinguishers from Garlitt’s XXX Dragster were added. The Injectors, Scoop, front wheels and tires are from the Tony Nancy 22Jr kit. I made the “PANIC” body a one-piece design. The rear edge of the “T” body was reduced by 3/8” and covered with sheet plastic. The Turtle Deck was mounted 3/8” lower The front wing was removed and the nose was tapered down to a point. A small slice of Bubble Top was cut off, backed with sheet plastic and attached to the body, to make the new cockpit. The original exhaust slots were filled and the bottom of the body was cut to clear exhaust pipes. The body and frame are painted with Tamiya Pure White, Pearl White and Bright Orange Spray Paint. The Fred Cady “Stretched Flame” decals and the Slixx “PANIC” Decals worked well together

Deal's Wheels Ford Truck....'53 DREAM!

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Still working on the photos, unable to correct the spelling in the topic line... -
DREAM 53 is 1953 Ford F100 pickup truck that has been built in the “Deal’s Wheels” Style. This truck started as an AMT 1953 Ford Flipnose and an original 1971 set of Deal’s Wheels VW Van wheels & tires .... Here how I modified the body… Reduced the width of the cab, reduced the width of the front flipnose, shortened the cab & cut off the pickup bed ends to meet the fenders. Part of the hood was removed & the cab was moved forward. Next the front fenders were shortened & the rear fenders were made wider. Most of the chassis parts are 16th scale. The AMT 16th Scale Cobra supplied the Tailpipes, Shocks, Oil Pan & Transmission Bump. 16th Scale '34 Ford supplied the Rear End. Traction Bars are from the parts box. I used aluminum tubing for the ends of the exhaust pipes. The Frenched Taillights are "Custom Styling Studio" parts from the Model Museum. These are "resin taillight housings with machined acrylic bullet taillights". I made the license plate from the "ACME License Maker" website. I painted the '53 Ford F100 with Tamiya's Camel Yellow and used Satin Black for contrast. The pickup bed is covered with wood grain decals & silver strips.

Haven't started cutting yet, but I will be sectioning the Willys & making it a convertible. The Fenders will be lengthened & I am using seats from the 85 Vette and a Duvall Windshield. Was thinking about a Jag engine with Weber Carbs...

Finished the Chili Pepper! More photos coming soon!

GREAT START!!!! I like C Cabs too! I built a few in 25th scale, and have collected the parts I need to build an 8th scale C Cab. Hope to start the Big C Cab this year, after I finish the 8th scale Willys...

Thanks Marc, I need to add a windshield and side windows & the Chili Pepper VW is done! I haven't done any more on the Ford yet.
-
Thanks Billy, Glad you like it! I have finished painting & decaling the Chili Pepper. Should have photos of the finished model posted soon!

Made a little progress on the Triangula this week. I filled the exhaust outlet holes and made a recessed license plate housing for an 8th scale license plate.

Got most of the bodywork done. Added width to the windshield opening, Extended the rear fenders and smoothed out most of the rough spots. Should have this one finished real soon!

I got a some body work done on the Chili Pepper. Window posts have been added to the newly shaped side windows. The nose has been carved down and rounded off. The rear body has been shaped, rough sanded and Primer/Filler has been applied. Rear View Comments or Suggestions Welcome!

I put the Honda 750 Engine together, so far straight from the box, no painting. This Entex Honda Engine is made up of Plated Parts, Aluminum Finish Parts & Black Parts. Positioned the engine & cut out the opening. Enough room was cut out to clear the 4 Header Pipes too. The Carbs & Stacks will also be exposed. Comments Welcome...

Thanks Andy, By the way, I really like your resin designs, the Firebird, VW's & T's are Fantastic!!!

Hi Mark, The Honda Engine is from a vintage 8th scale Entex kit on Ebay. The diff doesn't show on the Triangula. The drive train is 2 belts, one in each trailing arm, one to each rear wheel. Photos coming soon! Thanks!

Here is the latest progress on the new Chili Pepper Front End. This shape has been fabricated with 3 pieces of sheet plastic. First the top section was cut to size, bent to fit and glued in place. Next the side pieces were traced from the top piece and cut to shape and glued in place. This photo shows the addition of the VW Style raised molding on the "Hood". It was made from a piece of thin sheet plastic, cut in a streched "W" shape and glued in place. Now the edges will be shaped with file boards and sandpaper. Next I will be working on the window openings and adding new side window posts.

Thanks for your interest! A while ago, I put the first Triagula post in the "On The Workbench" section, so it was confusing. Here is that first post to fill everyone in on the starting point of Triangula: Triangula is an 8th scale show car powered by a Honda 750-4 Cylinder Motorcycle Engine. Triangula started with a box of old used Lindberg 12th scale "SC100" parts. The body was lengthend 2" & most of the bottom half of the SC100 was cut off on an angle & replaced with sheet plastic. The interior was rebuilt in a single person configeration with sheet plastic & an 8th scale IROC Camaro Seat. The front of the body was cut out to make room for the front wheels. The rear of the body was modified to fit the new larger rear wheels & the wider track. The bubbletop was replaced with the top from a Monogram 12th scale Ferrari Testarossa. The rear fins are from the 24th scale Monogram Predicta Show Car. Just getting started on the Triangula, comments or suggestions welcome! Here are a few photos:
