  1. Yes please, I'll be interested in a couple. I'll be interested in any old mopars you make. Sounds great
  2. Thanks for the replies. All good info. Yes I am planning on building a petty dart with the dart. So yes I would prefer a resin trunk lid from the petty dart kit with the wing on the back. But at this stage Ill take anything. Im hoping Kevin can recast his, otherwise if anyone has a lid with or without the wing Ill take it! I have found a few pics of Pettys dart that looks more like a 1974-75 Dart swinger by looking at the front quarter panel & grill so Im planning on hacking a few kits together to make it work. Bill, thanks for the dart pics & info. Your red dart looks great, you should get it finished!!!! The rear quarters look great!
  3. Hi, Can someone point me in the right direction. I am looking for a trunk lid to suit the Dodge dart petty sportsman kit, or wheelstander kits, either la dart or hemihunter kit. I have read that some resin casters made a replacement trunk lid or once did. Any info would be great as I would like to purchase one. I remember seeing on ebay a dart trunk lid to suit the petty sportsman kit with the wing on the back of the lid. That would be perfect as I am planning on building a petty dart with it anyway. Only I cant find it or any listing of it on ebay anymore. Thanks Greg
  4. Hi thanks for the info. How much body work is needed using the modelhaus parts? By any chance do you have a photo showing the modelhaus parts on the new release AMT camaro body? Any more infor would be great, thanks. I had a look at spotlight hobbies. There was on 1 kit there & quite expensive.
  5. Hi everyone, I have a couple of the recent AMT 1970 1/2 Camaro kits. They have the split front bumper. Is there any conversion kits to convert the front bumper over to a full front bumper? Does the grille & nose need to be replaced as well. Does anyone make resin aftermarket parts? I want to build a few transam race cars & they all had the full front bumper. Any ideas or any info to point me in the right direction would be great. Thanks in advance
  6. Hi everyone, Just a quick question about preparing resin parts. I see most recommend & use Westleys Bleach white for soaking the body prior to painting to remove the mold release. In in Australia & have looked high & low & its not available here. I have seen on the forums people have used a few other products & the only product I can get here is Prep-sol, I have a can already. So if I use Prepsol to remove the mold release on resins do I just wipe the parts well followed by a wash in warm soapy water. Or do I need to soak the parts for a day or 2 in Prep-sol? Does the Prep-sol need to be diluted with water or something? I have built a few resin cars in the past & all I have ever done is wash the parts in warm soapy water. Maybe Ive been lucky. Im about to build a few Modelhaus & MCW resin cars so Im wondering if I need to do something more than a quick wash with those as I would ather not have painting issues with the more expensive resin pieces. Any help would be great as its confusing.
  7. Wow thats fantastic. Great job all round. The colours look great. What colours did you use for the body?
  8. Wow thats great. Really nice. It just pops. Im currently working on the same model. My car has different wheels & interior. Are those wheels from modelhaus? Also my interior is different & am wondering if its correct for the car. Either way the interior fits correctly. Nice job
  9. Ive just been researching a few new 50's mopars Im starting & cam accross this thread. Lots of great cars going on here. Great work. Here's a 59 Imperial I finished a few months back. The idea I was going for a american graffiti/ happy days drivein type look with a young fellow & his lady. I originally had standard wheels & tires on it but just changed them to something more hotrod. I do need to take some better pics ot it, heres some pics - I didnt mention this is a slotcar. This was before I changed the wheels to what hey are now My car probably wont qualify for your buildoff but thats cool. Just thought I would share. Im currently working on a 60 Plymouth & a 59 Plymouth.
  10. Wow nice work, looks super. WHat colour blue did you use?
  11. Wow thats great, the weathering looks fantastic. Have you got any tips on how you got that weathering look? What products did you use?
  12. Wow great work, nicely done
  13. Thanks for your reply Jon. Ive already gone through my kits I have here & came up with nothing. The 30's kits I have only had one grill & has been already used. Im pretty open to either stock or modified as what im building is more a ratrod with all the parts used pilfered from various kits. I probably would prefer a stock grille though if I could choose. I may have to go with a modelcar garage grille if nothing else turns up. If someone knows of any other manufacturers of grilles please let me know
  14. Im am currently building some 20’s & 30’s hotrods, like 32 ford sedan etc & have everything I need for the builds but some front grilles, ie the grille surround & radiators. I don’t care what make they are from, ford chev etc just something that will suit the 20’s & 30’s cars. Does anyone produce these parts in resin or whatever/ I noticed Model car garage has some but they are probably a bit fancy for what Im doing. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
  15. Can you point me to the pics of the chrysler 300. I cant wait for this car. Going to be great Thanks Greg
  16. Hi everyone I just thought I would share some pics of a 1/25 Dodge Challenger slotcar I built. The livery is Sam Poseys Challenger he raced in the trans-am series in the 70's. The main aim of the build was that it had to work as a slotcar but still keep the extra detail without going to overboard with detail, if that makes sense. Ive race the car here at home quite a bit & still doesnt have a mark on it(touch wood). I designed the decals & a friend printed them on a Alps printer. Paitwis model master sublime with plenty of clear so it doesnt get scratched. Running gear by MJK. Ill post some photos of my track in the diorama section here soon I have loads of slotcars Ive built & ill post some over time. Im just about to start a new trackthat will be heavily scenic. More to come later. Hope you like Greg
