Thanks for the replies guys. All great info. I havn't decided how detailed I want this to be yet. I definitely want swinging doors at the back & the rear wheels cutout on the box as a bare minimum. I may do it curbside yet with no motor, depends how easily I can source a motor. Thanks for your help. I will post some progress when I start this project.

Hi guys, Firstly I know nothing about trucks but Im wanting to build a Hauler that Richard Petty used in 1970 to haul his super birds. Ive picked up a Dodge LS1000 cab from AITM resin for the cab. Im wondering which kit I would be best off using for the rest of the truck, chassis, box etc. Am I best off using the AMT C-600 city delivery kit or the AMT Ford Louisville short hauler kit? Upon researching the forum, people have stated the box is the same on both kits & the chassis are different lengths? Is that correct? Here is some photos below of what Im wanting to build. Any help as to which kit will be closest to the wheelbase for the Dodge cab? Thanks in advance.

That’s so nice. I’ve wanted to build this car for a while. What hood scoop did you use?

Hi thanks for the replies. Yeah I know there is a Monogram 69 Superbee kit. As gtx6970 mentions I prefer to stay away from 1/24 where I can. That was my thought to, cutting the Monogram tail light panel down to fit the MPC kit. By any chance would someone have a Monogram 69 Superbee kit they can put beside one of the MPC Coronet kits so I can see the size difference between the 1/24 & 1/25 kits? Not sure if ill modify the MPC 1/25 kit yet or build a 1/24 Monogram kit out of the box. Although I do like a good challenge!

Hi everyone, Ive got a resin kit here of a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T, unknown who made it. Its cast from the MPC kit I believe. Ive been thinking of converting it to a A12 Superbee. Has anyone done this? Its looking to me the main differences from the outside is the A12 Superbee has the 6pack hood & a different tail light panel? Im pretty sure Ive got the hood covered. The tail light panel has me stumped? Any ideas? Has anyone else thought about converting one of these? Thanks in advance!

That's a beautiful build. Well done, perfect in every way? What kit did you use for this?

Hi all, Im wondering if the Pad Printed F60-15 & L60-15 Polyglas GT tires in the AMT Polyglas Parts Pack like this - Are they the exact same tires which are in the AMT 1966 Mustang Hardtop reissue kit - And also the L60-15 Polyglas tires in the new AMY 1968 Plymouth Road Runner reissue kits - Or are the parts pack tires better quality? Im building a few Stock 68/69 Chargers & these newer Pad Printed Polyglas tires look to be the best? Just a bit confusing if they are all basically the same tire in these new reissue kits?

Hi all, Ive got a pair of Aoshima Mad Max Road Warrior kits & am going to start building them. One as the Mad Max 1 Interceptor from the first movie, I have the resin conversion kit. The other Interceptor out of the box for the Mad Max 2 Road Warrior. I was looking at the tires & am wondering how accurate they are? They look way to modern. Here they are - I know the tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA but what is the tread Pattern like? Fireball Modelworks have some BF Goodrich Radial TA but Im wondering if they may be to late as well. Here is the tread Pattern like Fireball have - I did some research & wonder if the tread pattern should look like these vintage BFG Radial TA - Anyway is there any Mad Max experts that can help. Also where the tires can be purchased in 1/24. If I can find the correct tires Ill use them. Cheers!

Looks great Raoul! What a difference. What color green did you use? Looks nice

Tom Coolidge made them but he no longer makes them. MCW resin also sells a 50 olds fastback

They all look great. Very nice. What colours did you use on the Hudson?

Early Ford Wire Wheel Covers?
mopargreg replied to mopargreg's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for your help. Also thanks for adding photo. I think I'll have a go at making some similar wheels. Obviously like you said without the site wheels on the inside. Its a shame both the wheels and headlights are not available as it would give the early model builders more building options -

Im having trouble attaching an image from photobucket so here is the link to the ebay listing showing the wheel covers. Im not sure why the image wont load properly, ill look into it tomorrow http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Other-Roadster-/141802780943?forcerrptr=true&hash=item21041ab90f:g:8vEAAOSwhcJWIDhJ&item=141802780943 -
Hi, Im wondering if some wire wheel covers for early Fords are available in any kit or from an aftermarket resin source in 1/25 scale. I have included an example of what I mean. The photo I have attached is from Jesse James 32 Roadster which is actually on ebay if you have some spare cash lying around Also are any E&J Headlights available anywhere. They are pretty cool as well, also on Jesse James's Roadster. Thanks for your help
