  1. I'll be there with a few new Moebius items...
  2. Sometimes it's the message!
  3. Somebody really ought to check out the inanimate corporation end of this! You really ought to check your facts on that one! I happen to know every employee at Moebius, all six of them (three full and three part time) - that includes the owners; and I also know almost all the folks who do contract and consulting work for us! Yes, sir, a big, inanimate corporation... And by the way I also know the ownership at Round 2, pretty sure that Tom would be surprised to find that he's an inanimate corporation! As for Revell I'd wager that their total work force US and Germany is less than 50 people!
  4. NIce love the red paint!
  5. That would be Dongguan City, Guangdong Province if you want to look it up on a map.
  6. 1st test shots heve been here for a while We've told the factory what to fix.... now we wait for the factory to make revisions..we'll see how the second test shots look in 60 days or so...
  7. I would like to think that we can have them ready to ship from the Orient around in early October.. Packaging files should go to factory in the next day or so - Plastic is ready for production.. I'd hope that kits would hit stores by Haloween.
  8. Please Note that there is no Moebius 4 door sedan in the works, I believe that Art is converting a test shot body into a 4 door.
  9. 71 Ford Pick-ups have sold very well but are not sold out yet, maybe your local shop needs to check with other wholesalers.. I'm sure that we will be re-ordering that kit before we are sold out!
  10. 1965 Satellite kits have arrived and have been shipped out to our distributors - Retailers should have them shortly.
  11. Sorry, but the car we were able to find for photos is a 4 speed car and a large % of the reference material I found on the web shows the 4 speed.. Sometimes it just doesn't work out to do more versions...
  12. Regarding the rear bumper in the '69 kit. I am the guy who tells China which parts go in the kit box. As far as I was aware the kit was to have a step bumper ONLY. What we apparently have, here, is a falure in communication. Box art for that kit was done for Model King by their artist, he had a test shot with both bumpers along with some other parts that were not to be included in the build-up. While our guy did the instruction sheet which only shows the step bumper! Apparently somewhere along the way Model King's builder and graphics artist was told that the kit would include both bumpers. If I was informed of this or I was the guy who said that, I don't recall. (Please remember that this project has been on going for over two years so it is possible that I was told but I just don't remember!) When I got box art it was only a set of files for submittal to the licensor. I did not see that the box art included both bumpers. SO the Model King '69 short bed kit only has the step bumper, as that's the way I understood the kit specification from the beginning of the project, and that's what I told China what to put in the box. This is not a case of somebody making promises they refuse to keep, rather it's a case of misunderstanding between the guy doing box art and myself. The '69 kit only has the step bumper while the '71 only has the chrome "stock" bumper. Sorry for the confusion. Dave
  13. Engines in 1954 were red - Guards red is probably good..
  14. Here is the final test shot body - as you can see it does not have a shiny surface.. apparently the factory did not do the best job of polishing the tool. HOWEVER - I've built and painted three of these bodies with good looking results. The Black and Cream coupe in these photos was built from an earlier test shot with same finish on the body. This model was built without primer - only a few quick licks with a fine sanding stick to clean up mold lines. Paint is Testors Model Master Classic Black and Light Ivory from the bottle - sprayed thru my old Pasche Model H Airbrush. there is no clear top coat and the model was not color sanded - Just rubbed out lightly with a 3M finishing compound, and foiled. Unless you intend to display the model without paint, I'm pretty confident that the finish on the body will not be any problem at all. Hope this answers some of the concerns.. Dave
  15. Both of the Ford Pickups are finished - and in production they are scheduled to ship from the factory on 4/28 - so they ought to show up in stores late May - early June.
  16. That's MCW #6457 Light Turquoise Metallic
  17. I'd say late this year or early next year for Sedan
  18. For what it's worth, we have started tooling on the 1965 Cyclone kit. @ this date it looks like kits should be available in early 2016.. I'm expecting a firm schedule from our partner in the next several days and should know when to expect first test shots once I see that schedule.
  19. Here are a few shots of my build-up of the Ventura second test shot. We've made some minor revisions to the body - mainly to bottom edge of side windows and bottom of backlight. Also reshaped windshield and revised the 8 lug wheels too. Production kit will have white wall tires Waiting for third and, I hope, last test shots - expecting to have them in hand in about 2 weeks - Box and instruction sheets are in process now.. Hope to be in production before end of May with kits on the way in June This 99.44% the finished product. Only visible changes from this will be pollished window glass, addition of texture to headlight lenses and addition of whitewalls to tires.
  20. Here are a few shots of the Built up test shot of our 65 Satellite. Final test shots with all packaging proofs are due to be sent to me this week end. Hope to start production in the next 10 days - 2 weeks and ship kits in May
  21. Here are a few shots of the 54 Hudson Coupe test shot that I built upfor box art and instruction sheet photos. Kits have shipped and should be in stores shortly. Yes there will be decals for the air cleaners etc.
  22. That's builder error putting the tail lights on upside down.. I probably should have looked at the exploded drawings and and checked part numbers before I glued them on the body!..
  23. This is not "so far so good" -This more like, "so far is 90% finished!"
  24. Tail lights will be chrome parts as seen on these test shots. NO separate lenses. The choice was one piece clear part and you add the chrome or a one piece chrome part and you add the red - Here's the test shot here with painted tail light lens - when you look at it I hope you'll understand why we chose to make them as chromed parts. The parts are not large enough to do separate chrome bezels and clear lenses and the narrow chrome dividers in the lens are very fine and would be a PIA to paint or foil - the chrome part is a piece of cake to paint as seen here! I've also included a couple shots of the grille in my built -up test shot. Far as I can see there's nothing wrong with the way it fits. A black wash would obviously help the grille This is not the test shot that I intend to spend a lot of time painting. Headlights have clear lenses with separate chromed reflectors - and still need to have texture added to lenses. Some lettering and some logos as well as some textures still need to be engraved.
