  1. That would be the hatch the Chi Town charger had, this is from an earlier forum posting http://cs.scaleautomag.com/sca/modeling_subjects/f/31/t/86008.aspx?sort=DESC
  2. I was talking about mandated hatches. uctually it was funny car driver Denny Savage that said 75 or 76. Chi-Town did have one but it was not mandated by any santioning body
  3. Racking the brain here, Not sure if McEwen ran a dragster in 74, by then all top Fuel cars were rear engine
  4. do you have a link or contact tb
  5. Sorry not model related but who here will be the first to build this car http://www.competitionplus.com/drag-racing/news/24101-creasy-sr-continues-ot-march-of-his-own-drum
  6. From Hot Rod Magazine Sept 1971 page 75, Barry Setzer Funny Car " Lenco 2 Speed and Crower 3 disc clutch" 3 levers in drivers compartment, one is brake handle, one is to shift to second gear, and other is for the reverser. Clutch pedal is used for neutral, Lenco does not have a neutral gear Roof hatches, this from Denny Savage "Anyone got any pictures of the Hawaiin at Ontario Motor Speedway, in 1974? I was driving, and had a BAD BAD fire, in the lights.. It made the Centerfold of "Drag News" in the "Simpson" add.. That was about the last Bad fire, before they mandated "Thermos Jacket" headers, and "Roof Hatches", or as Coil called them... "Pig Chutes"... http://classicfunnycarboard.com/CFB/index.php/topic,834.9075.html So this puts roof hatches about 75 or 76
  7. THERE'S A SELLER ON EBAY Thanks found one, now need to know if their are any decals for this body
  8. Someone on one of these boards mentioned an Opel Kadett in Resin, Who makes it and are their decals for this kit. The only drag cars I can think of are the Jr. Thompson car and Jack Ditmars Der Mini Brute. By the way the first Funny Car i got to see racing on the track, Alton Dragway circa 1970 Thanks
  9. It is the Don Garlits Museum in Ocala FL. If I knew someone needed good photos I would have took more

  12. Dec 1, Central Missouri. It is an IPMS show, but have a good selection of Automotive categories for a small show http://www.cmsm-ipms.org/tigercon-2012
  13. Are there any models, kits or resins of the medium duty COE's I call them city delivery trucks. Similiar to this Really only looking for a cab
  14. Be careful about the Hobby Lobby stuff, the resin has a shelf life and will go bad, needed to cast a small engine and did not want to wait for my lhs to get some resin in. So bought some at Hobby Lobby. Wrong move resin was bad and nothing was usable from the pour. Asked a pro caster about it and he said resin was bad,
  15. Modified Classes are based on weight to cubic inch, a Gremlin could run a 304 and be in D/MP due to being a small car. Do not forget about the Super Modified classes, Single four barrel on a high rise with an automatic transmission
  16. More Photos with all the winners in all categories. I did not want to steal Vlad's work so this a link to the links http://forum.ipmsusa...-the-nationals/ Autos Start on page 19 about half way down tb
  17. I thought that to, got the info from the guy who was in charge of the national convention. Any way it is near Denver
  18. The convention moves around the country, local chapters bid on the right to host it. next year it is in Longmont, Co, a little north of Denver, in 2014 it will be held at Hampton Virginia, that is near Virginia Beach. As far as banquet prices are concerned, I agree that 50 bucks is way to much, but go to your local large hotel and ask for prices for a banquet that can hold 300 people and see what the prices are. Just did that here in St. Louis and was told $48.50 per person. ouch tb
  19.
